Today Im going to introduce you to ppyeo-haejangguk, or ox bone hangover soup. This soup is made from boiling ox bones for hours and hours until all the delicious, nutritious meat, marrow, and ligaments dissolve and create a hearty bone broth. The resulting soup is rich, savory, earthy, and best of all, after one spoonful I can feel my lips stick together from the collagen. I think: Wow this is good for my body, which makes me enjoy it even more.

Maangchi, Last night I made your recipe for ox bone soup (Ppyeo-haeojangguk) and bean sprout side dish to go with it. I Also made your Diakon radish kimchi two weeks ago and had some on the side also! it was all so yummy! This morning i had some leftover soup with a cracked egg in the center. WOW! was it good! I never thought i would enjoy an egg in my soup, LOL! I It all went together in a Perfect Tasty Harmony. Cant wait to try a new recipe. Thank-You again!

Can you just use ox tails in this soup? And where I live we have no Korean radish or daikon radish. would turnips be a good substitute?
