Today I am cooking at home and making a fried chicken sandwich. This is my copy cat recipe for Chick-Fil-A's chicken sandwich. The crust is seasoned just right and crispy. This is how I make chicken sandwiches at home.
Ingredients
1. 5 lbs (680 g) boneless skinless chicken breast
2 Tbsp (30 ml) Louisiana hot sauce
8 oz (236. 5 ml) pickle juice
1 3/4 cup (250 g) all-purpose flour
2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
1 Tbsp powdered sugar
1 Tbsp dry milk powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg
1/3 cup (77 ml) whole milk
cooking oil for frying
brioche buns
dill pickle slices
SAUCE
1/3 cup (77 g) mayonnaise
1 Tbsp coarse ground mustard
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp Louisiana hot sauce
1/8 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp onion powder
Jessica: Great video! Definitely doing the regular oil fry though. I'm not a big fan of how you can still see flour on some of the items that get air fried but I do like the crispiness of when it gets done in there. I did actually do a quick fry on my chicken breast and finish off a couple minutes in the air fryer and just loved the end result! Date: 2021-01-21
