This is a legendary Bangkok restaurant by the way. I've been eating there for 20 years. Highly recommended for tourists to grab a taxi and go No offense to Jay Fai's crab omelettes (they're awesome) but instead of queueing up for 2 hours for 2 awesome dishes, come to Beer Hima and have 10 awesome dishes

Love the show, however I have just one problem. I've seen so much plastic and styrofoam as packaging for the street food. As a public figure, is there anyway you could instigate some change by recommending more sustainable packaging, or at least bring your own container to take the food away in?

I'm thinking if you eat food in Thailand, you'd better count on permanent bad breath - garlic, garlic, and then more garlic; raw onions, chilis non-stop, and CURRY, and then for grins, ginger, which is guaranteed bad breath. My tummy hurts simply thinking about it.

I cant begin to fathom how these people from far east figured out all these wild flavor combinations that seems to not go well but ends up looking like the best dish out there. Here in America people are blown away with mac and cheese and bread and butter combination.

These almost look like Indonesian food, especially with the fermented prawn paste, stinky beans, kaffir lime leaves and coconut milk-based curries. Perhaps because its Southern Thai food. All thats missing is the array of sambal instead of the nam jim and nam prik: D

I want to try the kaeng tai pla The spiciest Thai dish I've had was a kaeng pa/pad cha scallop. The jungle curry contained no coconut milk and was delightfully spicy, salty, and so aromatic from holy basil. I'd love to see how kaeng tai pla compares one day

I see wealth there. I'm digging those chairs and dining tables. Very thick wood. That restaurant. I see wealth is my impression. Good for them, I don't know why I just had a different image of Bangkok.
