Download your Bangkok travel guide (FREE): 101 Things To Do In Bangkok: Duck restaurant: 1: 38 Soi 6 Pochana (6) - One of my favorite places to eat roast duck in Bangkok is at Samyan Market at a restaurant called Soi 6 Pochana (6. We first started with a plate of khao na bet, which is just roast duck and rice, and then we also had a plate of khanom jeeb goong, which are shrimp dumplings, both of which were excellent. Another thing that I really like to eat at this roast duck restaurant is giew nam, like won ton dumplings, and they do a fantastic job of making them here. But finally, the absolute best reason to go to Soi 6 Pochana (6) in Bangkok is to order a plate of bet pad kra prao, roast duck stir fried with garlic, chilies, and holy basil. Normally this dish would be prepared with pork or chicken or some kind of seafood, but using leftover roast duck, the dish is elevated to the next level of delicious. 6: 16 Jim Thompson House Museum ) - One of the most famous attractions in Bangkok is Jim Thompson House Museum, which is located in the Siam area of Bangkok, right across the street from MBK shopping mall. I had visited when I first came to Bangkok years ago, so this was a good opportunity to go again. After paying the entrance fee you then have to go to the entrance of the house and get in line for a tour - they only offer group tours of the Jim Thompson House Museum, so you cant just walk around on your own. Its a worthwhile attraction to visit when youre in Bangkok. 8: 45 Gallery Drip Coffee ( ) - Located at Bangkok Art and Culture Center, Gallery Drip Coffee ( ) is one of the best coffee shops in Bangkok that serves drip coffee. 10: 03 MBK Shopping Mall and Vegetarian Thai Food - After a great cup of coffee, we headed to MBK, which is one of the most famous shopping malls in Bangkok, to do a little shopping and to have some quick lunch at the food court. I wanted to look for a camera bag, which I successfully found, and then we headed to the giant food court - which by the way is a pretty good place to get a bite to eat when youre in the Siam area. I chose to eat at a well known Thai vegetarian food restaurant stall at the MBK food court, and its set up rice and curry style, so you just choose your different dish to go on top of a plate of rice. The vegetarian food at MBK Shopping mall is always good 13: 15 Shopping at Pratunam Market - One of the most famous shopping markets in Bangkok is Pratunam, and its a place that many people come from around the world just to go shopping. Its a specifically wholesale market, but vendors do also sell individual things. At Bangkoks Pratunam market youll find mostly clothes, but there are also little souvenir and random things from Thailand, and if you search around enough youll find just about everything you can imagine somewhere within Pratunam market or the area. 15: 44 Thai Street Food outside Central World Mall - During the daytime outside Central World mall, youll find a lot of clothing street vendors, but starting in the evening, the scene changes to dinner and street food. I used to come here long ago to eat Thai grilled fish and other Isaan dishes, and the restaurants are still around. We sat at one of the stalls, and ordered up a few different dishes including a grilled fish and some green papaya salad. The food was alright, but not extremely good - I think it used to be better before. I wouldnt highly recommend it, but it is a very convenient place to eat Thai street food in the Siam and Pratunam area

I had bad experience from eating at Soi 6 Pochana. The food was ok, but the lady boy employee overcharged me for the price of food. In the menu, they showed the price of every dish. But there's no bill; the lady boy employee just told me the total amount I had to pay. I thought it's not right, so I asked him to declare the price of everything I ordered. He got angry with me and spoke rudely. He yelled at me after I caught that he cheated. Was it my fault to pay the right price? Actually, he should've apologized me for overcharging. If anyone wants to try the food, it's ok. But make sure you've checked the price.

I enjoy your videos very much. I was in Bangkok & Chiang Mai just over 2 years ago, staying with friends who showed me Thailand through the eyes of a Thai person. I'm going again in September for 2 months after recovering from cancer. My friends there are very concerned about me & ask What can we do for you whilst you are here? Thanks to your videos I know places they can take me & I can thank them by taking them for dinner at places you have shown me. Thank you.

Hey, Mark. I'm your fan from Cambodia. So, I've been watching you since 2016. And one more thing is that I would always come back to your 14-Days in Bangkok, Thailand series, and yes, this is really my most favorite series from you. I'm just curious, like it's 2019 now, and you might have an 'updated version' of this 14-days in Bangkok series?

Hey Mark (though maybe a question for Ying: ) - where would you recommend to shop for good quality but cheap clothes in Bangkok? Chatuchak market or another one? Mens clothes, shirts, t-shirts, trousers, shorts etc. One of my favourite Thailand vloggers said they're leaving Thailand, good to see that you're still enjoying it.

I first saw your series of Bhutan vlogs and became a follower since but this Bangkok series inspired me so much to try and explore this great and delicious looking food that I immediately booked a trip to Thailand for early 2018. Hope will meet you in Bangkok if possible. Great work and all the best for the future Mark. Cheers

Hey Mark, I've always wanted to ask you, and it really is a serious question haha, but how do you eat so much and stay healthy? Not only skinny but like do you do any kind of body cleansing or something? Do you eat at specific times? If you have time to answer I'd really appreciate it. Keep up the great job
