Read my blog post about La Boqueria: Camera I use: On Day 21 of our Round The World Trip for food with Star Alliance, we spent the day in Barcelona. Barcelona is an amazing food city, and one of the best places to start eating is at La Boqueria. After eating and wandering, we headed over to Sagrada Famlia for a breathtaking tour. It was an amazing day of food and attractions in Barcelona. 00: 34 Breakfast at Cotton House Hotel - We started off the morning at our hotel by having a quick breakfast. The jamon and selection of cured meats was the highlight. 2: 53 Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria - Often known in short just as La Boqueria, this historical market is a food lover's paradise and a pilgrimage destination. We arrived early in the morning and headed first to Bar Pinotxo to eat our second breakfast. I ordered an omelet with eggplant and a plate of garbanzo beans and blood sausage. The dish was simple, but it was incredibly delicious. Additionally, the coffee was extremely good

Before visiting Boqueria, I had watched this video. It has motivated me to try those eggs with squid. Mark's video is fine and he is good at explaining things. Though Boqueria is expensive, due to touristy place, there you can find tasty jamon, cheese and various smoothies. However, the fried eggs were disgusting. Too much salt, too much pepper, eggs were over-fried, a lot of oil. And the portion costs 20EUR, which is too much, even for Rambla. Was verry dissappointed.

So I'm following Mark's round the world tour and he travels from Sweden to Spain. What a contrast in culinary skills and qualities Can anybody help me to understand why the northern European cuisines are so inferior to southern European? What is it about the culture that make such a drastic difference in culinary skills, flavorfulness and overall quality?

La Boqueria market is just an over hype place. They are not cheap, most of the items and foods are expensive. It's just nice to visit and experience. And be careful if you're visiting this place esp La Rambla, snatchers and pickpockets are everywhere. This is the place that I don't wanna go back to visit again.

Don't the countries you're going to forbid you to film their foods? I know it's you who are to be filmed by your cameraman but their products and foods are filmed as well. Do they allow you to do this? I know by experience that I haven't been allowed to film in more than a couple of times in some countries.

Eating baby squids? Eating them, and there will be no SQUIDS at all for any one soon. Can we please let them grow and reproduce. Next time can you pls. be more consciounes, and perhaps feature other dishes? I can see you are not environmentally consciousness at all.

The ones with the potatoes and red pepper strips were NOT fishy sardines Mark, they were ANCHOVIES. I guess you're not as much a conoseure of European food as you are of Asian. But it's ok, you'll learn as you go. Love your show Mark Keep up the good work

you should do a video on food that just taste repulsive. you only promote food that taste wonderful in your videos. There has to be some food that you have on video that was just horrible. good is not just good, its good because somethings tastes bad.
