The Lower East Side of Manhattan has been a hotspot for NY dining for quite some time now, but there are still lesser-known gems in the neighborhood. For this episode of Chef's Night Out, we tag along with Leah Cohen-owner and executive chef of Pig & Khao-to her favorite local spots. After jumping on the line real quick, Leah and her crew head out from Pig & Khao just down the street to Taquitoria for some taquitos and rum 'n' cokes. Then it's off to Edi and the Wolf a few avenues over for some spaetzle, schnitzel, white wine, and whiskey shots (this is where things begin to get fuzzy for Leah. Next, the crew hops in a cab to visit their friends at Black Crescent and see how their renovations are going, and after stumbling in and stumbling out, Leah walks back over to Pig & Khao and is welcomed by a party very excited to see her. She starts to cook some pad Thai, but thankfully, her staff is there to help out and finish it off

Im sure a lot of people love to have a few sips of alcohol while cooking, I mean hell why not, if your the proper age have fun and be safe. But I feel she could have been a little more professional, especially if she is participating in a recording for an episode of Munchies. There is having fun, and being silly, and then theres not knowing your limits. -But to each his own I suppose.

I hate that a guy with he last name of Holtzman is running a restaurant that serves taquitos and only that. It's kind of a reflection on how shitty the restaurant business is there. Oh well, his time as a fad will pass and he will move on to bastardize some other culture's comfort food and make some shitty, gimmicky restaurant out of it again.

Aren't these getting kind of old? Same formula over and over again just in different cities and different restaurant owners. I'd love to see more focus on multicultural people like Eddie Huang instead of the constant white. At least it's good to see this is somewhat different (y)

I was curious about the Schnitzel and well. In Austria and Germany only fast food restaurants use a deep fryer for Schnitzel. A decent Restaurant would always use a frying pan with clarified butter. A deep fryed one can't compare to it at all!

She is gorgeous. a Jew that isn't a Zionist snake? --I would use the special combination of anal cream pie. do it on her while she cooks me Thai food. --I would finish with a double hand explosion on her face and ears.
