We have like a row of boxes of the premium Velveeta helpers that get made on a regular basis, and yes, they ALWAYS get doctored up to a degree because just beef and the box is bleh. The wife will trickle a few spices and some Worcestershire in to jazz it up. This however looks amazing, but we'd have to tone a little down on the spicy stuff, as the twin 7yos have issues when their food bites back too much. :) SoCal tongues are genetically modified to deal with chili peppers, my Midwest kids however are not. I on the other hand have old-ass buds so a sprinkle of Cayan or splash of Cholula is just fine for me post op.

I remember having Hamburger Helper all the time. It didn t taste bland with salt and pepper, the old style kind, not the fancy stuff they have now a days! I liked it so much that I made up my own kind after I moved to Costa Rica and couldn t buy the boxed kind. Take a box of Mac-n-Cheese, a pound of ground beef (AKA hamburger, onion, milk and a little sour cream or cream cheese. Yummy
Next time I make it I m using beef broth instead of water though. That s a great idea!
And I ll make tacos and burritos with the leftovers You have some awesome ideas & always get my brain going! THAK YOU!

I have two issues I'd like to comment on, first how detached from American reality do you have to be to say something like I don't think I've ever had hamburger helper? Enough said! Secondly is there a reason every burrito you make has to be a chode? When you fold in the sides they're not supposed to touch they only need to fold over enough so they stay in when you roll it. Try it one time! Leave an inch or two between your folded and sides and you'll actually have a burrito that has proportions similar to an actual burrito. Thank you for listening to my rant.

I love the idea of elevating the flavors of stuff like the samburger helper. And far bid me to critique your recipe before even trying it. But please allow me to retort. It seems like there is some texture missin and i was wondering if maybe adding some slightly crushed pork rinds to both the tacos and even the burrito would give it a nice little crunch. I would also like to say thank you to you, max and chance for producing what i consider network quality content that quells my need for entertainment and skill building. Stay classy and sassy.

No word of a lie, my wife told me we re having Hamburger Helper for dinner tonight but if you want something better, go for it. So I turned straight to Sam The Cooking Guy and this video had dropped literally 5 minutes earlier! I m pretty sure the universe wants us to have Samburger Helper Tacos for dinner.

My family had it fairly often as a kid but my mom added a can of green beans and 4oz of Velveeta. I do that but add extra macaroni and spices. I put crushed red peppers on my serving. No longer a regular dish but the souped- up version is good a few times a year.

9: 45 yes it will Sam. Yes it will. It will change lives in the way of exacerbating underlying disease. Carbs INSIDE of carbs. Nice.
I think this is what we all need right now is a way to drastically spike unnecessary inflammation levels in the body.

Growing up with a single mom that worked 2-3 jobs dinner was either hamburger helpers(or store brand variant, chicken and rice, or pizza. Occasionally on the weekend if she wasnt working she'd do some home cooking. Still love the effort she put in, superhero!

Sam! Max! (I know you're there, Chance, but this may or may not include you, so) Whenever you add green onions to a dish, play the song Green Onions by Booker T. and the MGs. Then, DON'T say you're adding green onions! Get it? You. Will. Kill.
