You're looking at what is quite possibly the best Salisbury Steak EVER (and at the very least it's 1000 times better than the beef hockey pucks I used to get in the school cafeteria. Billie: SAM. I hope you read this. I made it the other afternoon for supper. made it in the iron skillet. cooked real low and slow for 1 hour. I used a very much over sized glass lid to place over the iron skillet. it was done. turned off the eye on the stove. place the glass lid over the skillet. I mean gently. and it blew into 1 million pieces all the sudden. glass in the food. over the stove and into the floor. I had it on the slightest simmer you can imagine for 1 hour. hardly even bubbling. 212 degrees TOP. turned it off, it wasnt even bubbling at all. put the lid on and it blew up ruining the dinner. no clue why it happened. never seen anything like that in my life.
