Planting Tulips in DECEMBER! Morgan: I found some tulip bulbs today, also some daffodils, irises, alliums, & hyacinths. can I plant all of them together? also, do I have to cover with the material? I'm in Nashville and we will get snow & ice around Jan/Feb. thoughts? you have inspired me so much that I asked for gardening tools for christmas & searched everywhere for bulbs! if I decide to not plant them now, could I store them until spring? if so, how is best? thanks so much!

Thanks to you, I took the chance and planted 100 tulip bulbs in Dec. in upstate, NY. It snowed the next week, but every tulip came up and beautifully bloomed late April - mid May. It helped that the plot is located along the (warm) foundation and that I put a layer of shredded leaves on top. I found you through this video and have been a loyal watcher and happy gardener since.

I've been such a fan, but a bit disappointed in your comments and attitude about where and how people plant bulbs. Whatever makes us happy, within our budget is all I can say; if I can only afford a bag of 10 bulbs then that's 10 smiles I'll have on my face every day they are in bloom. No shame in that. #notulipsnobsallowed

I live on the Wyoming Nebraska border, zone 5a. Can I plant bulbs in something like this in December, or should I wait until late January or early February? We usually get our coldest weather in January and we have at least one or two spring snow storms.

just asking because I am clueless. .is it just tulips around a tree base or all flowers? You don't care for it because its been done a million times and its too common? or is there another reason? Just trying to learn thanks.

I'm always intimated by bulbs but you make it look easy. Two questions: Will they do well in a warmer climate like south Texas? What type of gloves do you have? They seem a lot more form fitting than most. I like them.

You think tulip wells under tree are bad? My neighbour planted 4 tulips under his tree in a square well, one tulip at each corner. It was painful to watch. Of course they all died before flowering.

Hi laura. I planted tulips and daffodil bulbs in a couple pots in November and they are already sprouting. Is that okay that they are coming up so early? Also any ideas why they would do that lol?
