Hi I am about to plant a couple of Hydrangeas in the back yard of my house. The location in under the shade of the tree but a couple of feet from the trunk. I have two main questions 1) how close can I plant the hydrangeas to each other I seem to have a couple of different varieties at hand, 2) what if I run into some roots for the trees, so I trim the roots or move my location. Thanks - Beginner gardener

Do you have any recommendations on how to plant very small hydrangeas? I got a couple of the quart size proven winners in a few different varieties and some of them are just a stick but they're all very small even the ones that are showing buds are no more than three inches high. My goal was to put them in the ground but I want to give them the best chance. Any suggestions would be helpful

I know this has nothing to do with the topic of this video, but, I have a succulent question: I planted my succulents in cacti dirt, then I did a top layer of white sand. How would I water it? I have them packed in quite well. I also have a syringe. I attempted to water them at the roots of each plant, but I felt like I was just wetting the sand. What should I do?

We just bought a home that has 2 different hydrangea bushes that get very hot afternoon sun. They started out great. Then starting about July they developed brown spots with white in the middle. I noticed that wilt pretty good when sun beats on them and perk back up when out of sun. Should I move them or what do you recommend? Good size bushes.

I recently planted (2) hydrangeas for my neighbor's son, full sun, Waterbury, Conn.
I named them Henry and Helen.
I followed your planting technique, but wonder now if it's too much sun for Henry and Helen.
D is concerned because they've been drooping since they moved in July 4th weekend.
How can I help Henry and Helen?

Im new to all this
Got a brand new empty landscaping in my backyard
General starter question:
- if Im planting all brand new plants
Ive got hydrangeas, coleus, clementus, honey suckle & few other shade plants
Should I just water all every few days? How do I decide if they need water vs over watering?

Thank for sharing this. I was thinking about growing this flower under the tree in our new house as I love when it blooms look so pretty! Hope I can find the spot to dig hole cos that tree is big and lots of root shown on the surface just worry I might kill the tree and that's gonna drive my hubby crazies

Hi: ) Would be even more informative if you said why did you plant it in this place, you know, the sort of hydrangeas love shady spots so make sure you plant it facing east and get 5-6 hours of sunlight in the morning. info -> finding the right spot is always the most difficult thing for me.

Love your vids! I have a question. This summer I rooted some gorgeous Hydrangeas from my Mother's funeral & would dearly love to keep them alive. When is the best time to plant these in the ground? What do I do with them over winter if I should not plant them in the ground right now?
