'Beyond Midnight' Caryopteris Garden Answer Nia: I dont know what you would do w/out Russell. Hes such a helpful supervisor! I love it when you use plants folks dont talk much about. You reminded me that I had once planned on getting one! I really need to. Its gorgeous & should do well in zone 9b (or as I like to call it, the 7th ring of hell) summers. W/out needing much attention, which is important when its too hot to tend to fussy plants. Thanks for showing this one off & reminding me that it has a spot in my garden! Wishing you all a lovely upcoming weekend darling!

Is this a good container plant? I live in SWFL zone 10 - we get afternoon rain every day this time of year - i have a large pot that is not on my drip system i'd love to use this but I won't remember to water it if it doesnt rain, will it still do ok with only a weekly watering if we catch a dry spell?

I planted a caryopteris two weeks ago in the hottest part of my garden covered with black mulch. I expected it might wilt back a little but it didn't. It has been in the 90s and it seems to love the heat. It's on a slope so it drains well. It is full of buds and I'm expecting great things from it!

Beautiful bush, thank you for sharing this one, I love perennials that have purple or bluish purple flowers. I also just love seeing how much Russell just loves being around all that you do, he is such a joy to watch. Thank you for this video, I look forward to the next one!

Very pretty and love that it is in bloom at this time of year. I planted a hibiscus after your video the other day and am in love with the tropical looking flowers! Thanks for the inspiration and joy you bring to the world of gardening: ) Hi Russel!

Hi Laura,
Would you mind preparing a video about baby breath plant? You mentioned you have some growing in your flower bed The one I have got quite tall and floppy so I am wondering what I could have done better. Thanks xx

I was in the garden yesterday and thinking, gee I need a plant for a really sunny hot and dry location. This will be perfect. I hope I can get it locally. I'm always ready to buy a plant that bees like. (I'm a beekeeper)

We are almost done with our back flower bed. This is one I actually wanted to put in it. We have a pugster in white butterfly bush and salvia that I think would look pretty next to. Hope to find it soon. Very pretty

Beautiful as always. You mentioned the David Austin roses. I planted several bushes this year. The climbers are struggling; the others are growing well except for the bugs. How do you control bugs on your roses.

Bookmarks video for later cause she wants to add the plant to her list. gets to end of video and hears the dreaded words; zone 5
Sigh living in zone 4 can really be so sad when it comes to gardening.
