Hi Laura,
I was watching a video of you making a orb for the top of a planter using wooden sewing (embroidery) circles.
I was thinking of making these but with small hola hoops and getting some bigger ones for my bigger planters.
In England we have a pound shop which did sell small hoops but I may have to wait until summer time, as they stick them seasonally.
Love all your videos and Im thinking of making the baking soda and cornstarch mix to make childrens hand prints, for the children in the nursery I work in and I think it would make a great Christmas present for parents/grandparents and add the date and age of the child on the back. Xxxx love to you all

GORGEOUS BACKGROUND! I'm in northern California, zone 9 and I am loving the fall colors. No rain yet, its been unseasonably warm. Laura, does this affect the frost dates? Also, can my coleus plants survive the winter months here if I cover them? I hate to lose them. Thank you for your videos. I ABSOLUTELY love the overhead shot of your property, IT IS SO GORGEOUS! (is that the drone? ) All of the hard work that you and Aaron have done has certainly been worth it (all your helpers too.

Hi Laura and family. I'm in zone 9, so I am in Tucson. I wanted to mention, I planted two plants within a few feet away from each other. In one, I accidently added more of the Espoma Biotone. Well, its blooming so much more than the other and its doing great. The other plant is doing just as well, but it doesn't have as much flowers. I am a true believer in Biotone. Thank you for your videos. I have learned so much from them. Thank you.

My Siamese (rescue) cat, Chloe-Su, meows at Russell whenever he walks across the screen: ) and Chloe-Su never bothers my house plants.
I've painted the baking soda/corn starch ornaments in the past. Make sure they are VERY dry - oven dry them, then leave them on the counter for a few days. Not water colors. After painting them, let them dry thoroughly and then I spray them with a spray finish. Some of mine are over 40 years old.

I love the Impatient Gardener. She gardens in flip flops like I do, lol, plus her dogs are adorable! But when I am working on my steep hill I wear my Sloggers. You should check those out, they have different styles. I recently found Y Garden and look forward to watching more of her videos. Horttube is in my zone, Jim has tons of great info, plus another adorable dog!

Do you know of / go to any garden shows in the southeast? I live in SC and would love to be able to attend one that's a little closer. Take care!

I LOVE your videos, Laura. I start my mornings with them and have learned so much from you. Another great You Tube source is John Lords Secret Garden in Ireland. Very informative but also very entertaining and genuine like you and a similar growing zone. I
enjoy the others you mentioned but think you would love his as well.

From what I've read on the labels of my amaryllis I've bought, if you water it too much before the flower stalks start to grow, the plant will focus energy on foliage growth over blooms. not sure how true it is. You're supposed to water it at planting, and then water sparingly until it flower stalks start to grow.
