We Canceled Our Trip to Boston / Plant Room is Overflowing / Wheres Cheddar? Ursula: I am a Bostonian, living now in Central Mass. I was so excited to be able to meet you: however I completely understand. I was planning on waiting until the weekend to be able to see you. however, knowing this now, I will be going tomorrow! :0) My father in law and I both have respiratory issues, but we are still going. Kinda coo-coo but we plan to take precautions, and enjoy it. I am just so excited for this Spring and gardening. We bought our first home last summer, so it is our first Spring, and I plan to blow this yard up with trees plants and flowers: -) I am looking to you for great inspiration!
In regard to the lemon cake, I would suggest next time just using a plain cream cheese frosting. You had triple lemon, you can do that with chocolate. but that is even called death by chocolate lol
I know we plant and design often in threes but in cooking and baking, use a flavor twice as complimenting, but in one single bite, be cautious! :-) You could also change it up with a strawberry ( any berry) filling, and keep your lemon cake and frosting. You could asos change up your frosting, by adding a strawberry ( any berry) jam to it. Happy Baking! :-) Ursula from Sweet Celebrations by Ursula

I fully support you. And to be honest as a healthcare worker, I think the question is not are you a afraid of microbes, but if you respect people that are at high risk and with bad immunsystem to avoid them getting sick. In my country long flights, and public transportation are not recommended or should be minimized and arrangement with people over 50 are canceled. So even private arrangement like weddings are canceled. But since friday all children, and youth are at home caranteen, only healthcare workers and people that need to show up on work are still at work. Other are at home for 14 days from monday. I think it is important to respect people and as a community show support for them who needs it.

From North Italy I say: good choice! I was hoping for this decision from you guys.
I am happy to know you stay home safe and don't put your parents and elderly people around you at risk.
You have no idea how bad the situation is here and I hope you all there in the USA are taking all the precautions individually without waiting for official decisions. Avoid crowds, stay as isolated as possible from other people. I hope this will end soon and our hearts will be ready to be filled with spring vibes. Now we are just worried and fighting an invisible enemy. Many good thoughts and big Thank You for everything you are doing.

Hi Laura & Aaron You have made the right decision to cancel your trip to Boston, the way the world is at the moment with this virus. Stay home & be safe make more video's for us hahahaha. I live in Australia & it's scary that this has taken such a hold worldwide, but we have to be careful & vigilant with our hygiene. I will be writing to you shortly & sending a small gift in the post. please keep making your fabulous video's. Love from down under on the West Coast of Australia. Dianne xx

Omg Laura, people with barking dogs are the worst. When i lived in a place with a lot of other close houses, i was REALLY strict whenever my 2 dogs barked. If they did it in the yard i made them come in right way. I cant stand dog owners who just throw their dogs out in their yard and ignore them or their behaviour! And i also dont like high pitched wind chimes, but i looove the low bamboo ones. I hope your grandad is well!

I have a lemon I grew from seed that is at least 15 years old and has never bloomed. I watched a video from homestead Brooklyn. She had a guy from Logees talking about growing citrus that was very helpful. He said it can take 30+ years to get them to fruit from seed! That explains my tree. It may never fruit but I like it anyway. If you want to propagate, you need to do it from cuttings rather than seed. Good to know!

Thank you so much for telling us that you won't be coming to Boston. I was really looking forward to meeting you but I completely understand. Maybe next year! I'm 72 and my family doesn't want me to go either. Im just hoping I'm the only one there: -) I've been a gardener for all my life and I really love your video's. I really wish YOU were my daughter! Thank you both for feeding my habit!

Good call on Boston. Many things are getting shut down here plus the govenor called a state of emergency (whatever that means. I might go to the show on the bet it will be less crowded. By the way, you said you're going to do a video on pruning lavender which might be different than how a professional does it. You're being modest, I think we can call you a professional.

Thank you Laura! I am learning something new from you every time! I ended up having a notebook and a pen next to me to take notes. Russell's cameo appearance makes every video even more enjoyable! And thank you Aaron for your hard work behind the scenes (and not only! I hope you do some kind of planting competition again this year.

Thanks for the pruning of Hydrangeas but I think I pruned my wrong as I have what they call a laceleaf white flat blooms and it has big leaves. It was pretty dead in the center so I pruned it down to the ground. I put mulch around it in fall. It has already putting on new leaves should I put more fertilizer and the drip line now?
