Installing Drip Tape & Planting Some Things I started From Seed! Garden Answer Christine: I was very impressed with the way you were so efficient when amending the soil! I thought you'd do it the same way you did the vine crops. You chose the best method for each of the different plants and seeds. So exciting to see these plants in rows in the ground! You have had so much going on and the weather has been so unusual. You have made amazing progress for a newly tilled plot of ground! You have a great attitude of having done the best you could under the circumstances and you can feel really good about where you are! When I am late getting plants out of their pots and into the ground (which is pretty much every year) I feel like they take a deep breath and stretch and are so happy to not be confined in their pots! They just settle in and are ready to grow =) Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend!

Goodstuff. I want to do a cut flower garden too. And possibly farm lavender. Cool to see you guys in Ontario. Im over by Salem. I hope to come see your folks garden center sometime. I need to keep up with your videos to know the size of mature plants. Appreciate all you guys do. I dont watch all the videos, so Im not sure; are you going to sell the cut flowers or offer a cut flower u-pick? Or just for you guys. I really love the way your driveway circles your house too. Awesome design. Be blessed guys.

Random Question: This is my first year planting lavender and I seem to have so many questions related to prunning it. I've watched some of your videos on you cutting back your hedge of lavender by the vegetable garden and such, but I just seem to get more confused. My lavender is only about 1 to 2 inches tall and has no blooms. Do I even need to prune it that young? It seems to have not grown at all since I got it in the spring. I need some information that could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Hi Laura and Aaron! You guys got a lot accomplished! It's so nice how well you work together on projects. It makes it much nicer. It looks really good where you got all of the flowers planted. I'm anxious to see it all filled in and then the progress of the plants. Honestly, I think you both have accomplished a LOT on the new property considering you have the other property to take care of, too. Pat yourselves on the back! Thank you for sharing so much with us.

Have you ever watched Back To Eden (free on amazon prime? It is a bit cheesy, but this guy walks through taking a field of bad soil and making it into a flourishing healthy garden without tilling. He does use wood chips to nurture the soil, and it would cut down on the dust for you. Just a thought: ) Everything looks great and I love seeing you have to troubleshoot, adjust expectations and learn from things on the fly just like us mortal gardeners haha!

Laura and Aaron. We so appreciate all the hard work you are doing on this new property and sharing all the information with us as you do each step. My husband and I purchased three acres of land three years ago and have been living on it for a year. I know what it's like to have all these dreams for your property and all the hard work it takes to get it there. Thanks for all the inspiration. It keeps me motivated!

Great video, thank you for explaining all the details. I will be giving this a try in the spring. I was overwhelmed with thinking about this project, but your video will help a lot. This may be a dumb question. but. do you pull all the hoses up in the winter? Ie, how do you ensure all of the water is out of the hoses before the freeze comes? Ty!

Hey Laura! Just wondering if you could walk us through your process of determining how long to keep you drip tape on for. How do you determine if it should be on for 30 minutes, 45 minutes 1 hour or longer? I understand it will change during the year as the plants get larger but when do you decide to up it? Thanks!

Do you sell the cut flowers to some florist to sell? Why so many flowers? Next summer with another baby - will you continue planting so much? Where is Benjamin when you and Aaron are out there. I always expect him to come running out to the garden cause he was forgotten in the house. You must have a Nanny?
