I Used a Ton of Pumpkins to Decorate Our Porch! Garden Answer Erin: What if (after you are done with this glorious display, you move the stone benches to the spot where the straw bales are now? (Where the black boxes used to be) I know youve spoken in the past about not being exactly sure where to put them. It seems like theyd be a nice transition piece as you approach the front door. Also, I really like the grand urns there. They seem too fit the feel of the space perfectly.
What a magnificent eye you have for this kind of decorating. Its all just gorgeous!

Have you ever grown neck pumpkins? I use those, but all work well. You get more meat from the neck ones with less work. I freeze mine filling each bag depending on recipe amount required. Pumpkin pies, bread, roll, pancakes, pudding, cookies, cupcakes, Waffles, pumpkin butter, muffins, pumpkin oatmeal, cheesecake, smoothies. And I'm sure I have forgotten some. A lot of these can be made and frozen. Pumpkin roll is so easy, and makes great gifts. Friends look forward to getting one.

Laura - I always knew you brought 'balance' to your decorations (hehe. those huge urns are incredible) Is Aaron a delight? I just love his attitude - you guys are so blessed. Wee Benjamin's 'punkin patch' is adorable. I do a similar thing with my Christmas bits and bobs (small scale compared to you guys, I just put a few new things out every day from the 1st December (I'm not crazy enough to start in September! LOL, and it's lovely, and the kids enjoy spotting new stuff every day. xx

Hi Laura and Aaron! Those urns look really pretty there with the corn stalks in them. All of the pumpkins look really pretty, too, the way you placed them. I can just see Benjamin rearranging them. Too cute! The planters, window boxes and the garland over the door turned out really pretty, too. The whole porch is stunning. Thank you so much for sharing!

Love it. The only thing I would add is some sunflower flower stalls to the corn stalls to more balance the Cornwall in the urns. Add 2 more pumpkins to the small firms on the right side on both sides. Again the b Boxwoodmight might also add a couple of scarecrow figures to the sides of the hay bails. Otherwise perfect.

Your entry looks so festive, and inviting! I can only imagine how much fun you have decorating with the seasons every year! Hopefully Cheddar and Russell will leave things alone and not get into too much mischief! Lol What happened to No? Is he still hanging around your house?

Its a lot so you dont want to over do it. hmmmmnot possible to overdo fall and natures glorious colors! I grew up on the East coast an easy drive to the blue ridge, and fall colors are home to me, I never get tired of them and its my favorite season to decorate with.

This fall decor is my favorite of any you have done over the years! I love all the colors and the straw bales. But I especially love how the urns graduate down as you look back at it. Hard to explain but really like the structure of the whole deign.

Gorgeous arrangements and colour selections! . except, when I look at it from a distance I kinda feel like the urns near the columns are being overshadowed by the much larger ones on the drive. Just my opinion, still beautiful!
