u were talking MULCH, please be careful if your climate allows for TERMITES, my parents had to get rid of all their mulch and put in decorative rock (like u said it is gorgeous and looks so clean and crisp across the gardens) because of those critters. just wanted to give a heads up there. Virginia is a termite place, i would guess other states might be that way as well! pls just do your research. happy gardening. (;

If you are using landscape fabric to suppress weeds, is there a certain type you should use? Because I used it to cover a small empty piece of land and the weeds just shot through it like it wasn't even there.
Also, completely unrelated to the video but what do you do with all the extra flowers and leaves once you've pressed them? I really enjoy pressing flowers and I have a huge excess right now. Thanks a lot.

i planted a wildflower mix in the summer of 2020, and while most didnt grow because i left for vacation right after sowing them, the runoff from the lawn kept some alive. i have bachelors buttons and blanket flowers now and theyre doing great! some of them are 3 feet tall! nothing else in the mix grew but i plan to plant more flowers in spring because i hate the maintenance and look of the grass.

I'm so glad you still go for it with a project even if you're running behind, or something comes up. Learning from failures and changing things up when you hit a bump in the road but with your eyes on the prize, seems to come up in this video and others.
Determination and resilience seems to be a key feature of successful gardening. Also something to take into the greater space of life!

First of all, thank you for all your videos. I've been gardening for more than 40 years but am still learning so much from you. You mentioned you live in eastern Oregon. Are you in the northern or southern area? I am in Alberta, Canada ( southern zone) and am trying to balance weather and temperatures to the things you are suggesting in all of your videos.

Hi! Marking you plants high!
Keep a hole puncher to punch a hole in the plastic tab. Use 12 gauge 6ft hanger wires (50-pack. This wire is at Home Depot used to hang drop ceilings ($17. 78. Can be cut in half for a hundred. Bend the top like a shepard hook then crimp it down after you put the label on it. Thank you so much for all the info!

Thanks for this! I took notes to refer back to. As a side note, as far as aphids, something that really helped for me was spraying them with a mixture of Dr Bronner peppermint soap and water. Kills them off. I've used only that method for the past two years. They obviously keep coming, but just keep spraying them. Easy non toxic solution!

Sorry for all the comments so if I'm understanding some of your beds were actually wider than 30 inches depending on if you planted on the outside of each outer drip tape. What would u say the width would be then in total? 50 inches? And did you plant all your annuals besides Zinnias that way or did u just do some planted in 2 rows
