Gazebo Removal! Garden Answer Dorene: Just one more step till you get your Hartley! I can't wait to see it. I know you are excited. I'm so glad the city was able to get the Gazebo as planned. My garden rule is the same as yours, if I don't like it, I regift. I love blooms mostly. Will do plants that shine spring summer and fall. If one of them can't handle that, they are out of here. I don't have a lot of hardscape in my garden, but I intend on adding more. Stay safe, stay well.

I love change! I have a gorgeous Bloodgood Japanese Maple in front of my home. Id much prefer a weeping blue spruce because of color and structure but I fear the Japanese Maple is too large for a safe transplant to the back of my yard where I would love for it to be. How do you determine if its safe to move a large tree depending on size or how rooted in it is? Note: the Japanese maple was here when I moved in a year and a half ago.

I am really missing the magic of the old garden. I loved all the different areas and how you replanted them, especially the area around the chicken coup and the slat walkway. There was always a magical place to visit and now there are no longer there. I miss the shaded area from the pines near the gazeebo and how soft the light would fall there so soft and calming. So. here's to the magic

FINALLY! Hurray: ) I was in the 'don't like that' camp with the gazebo. To me, it was an overpowering heavy roof and very little underneath so it lacked balance. The new greenhouse will be beyond stunning and I know you'll be super happy with it.
I'm so glad the city was able to come and get it so it didn't go to waste.

I know what you mean about a greenhouse, Im excited to get mine but Im nervous too because there are only me and my sons I am sick so Im hoping they can manage to build and erect it, we still have to put a base down for it but putting concrete down will be a problem as I have 3 dogs. xx

I want one so bad (automower) - even though I have a ride on, its so much clean up every time I use it I hose it and dry it and now the fan belt needs changing and that means I have to lie on the floor passing my partner sockets - its a hard old life with a traditional mower lol

Amazing job on the gazebo. Can hardly wait to watch the Hartley take its place! Love the color of the Hucheras, your visions are spot on!
Will you plant Zinnas soon? My little veggie garden is taking shape because of your enthusiasm for growing things. Love your videos.

Thats some really good advice. We do tend to hold on to things that take up space in our lives but yet dont serve a purpose. But that beautiful gazebo will now serve a new function and its created space for you to do your best creative work. and isnt that why were here? :-)

love the create your own oasis mantra. but do you get all your plants for free from your parents nursery? I notice you plant in multiples always. I, being on social security can barely afford 2 or 3 one gallon plants and a six pack or two every couple months.
