Finishing Up Our Onion & Potato Harvest and Prepping them for Storage!
video description
My garden looks amazing this year, I've even kept up with the weeding, the rest of the yard, especially the left half, is a disaster though, weeds as tall as me, I have mostly been waiting for rain and cooler temps so I can pull them, looks like that day will be tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get some stuff done tomorrow: )
Pray for no hawks, because if I am alone outside I tend to lose motivation, so if my chickens and duck cant be outside my dog also won't be (he will need to be company for the duck in the house) and then I don't want to be out either LOL.

Dear Laura &Aaron,
May your cup runneth over, always!
Wanted to share something here:
I had planted a guava sapling a few months back, and it seemed to be doing fine. a couple of days ago I saw it start to wilt. decided to dig it out to see what was causing the problem. there was a plastic wire strangulation the base of the stem. Had I not seen your blue spruce video, I wouldn't have known that it was the culprit(the eye doesn't see what the mind doesn't know)so removed it. Today the tips don't look wilted. Fingers crossed. Just wanted you to know we learn so much from your videos. Each and everyone of them is a gem.
Thankyou!

Hi Laura and Aaron. Ive been watching your videos for almost a year now and am always blown away by you sincere love for what you do. Your success comes because your hearts are pure and sweet. Because of your willingness to share your love for all things garden, you have inspired me (and so many more) to find refuge in our space. The fact that you use your space and your talents to grow beautiful and tasty produce to share is so sweet. Its evident that that is who you are. You are being smiled down upon for sure. Thank you

Hi Laura and Aaron! What an amazing harvest of onions and potatoes! I love how you share what you don't need with family and friends and then donate the rest. Your community is fortunate to have you guys. My tomatoes aren't doing really well either. I'm sure it's because of the high heat we've been having. I have a lot of tomatoes on the plants, but they're not ripening very fast. Like you, I'm hoping the cooler days might help. Benjamin is always so sweet and polite. Thank you so much for sharing!

You guys have given me lots of inspiration as I moved into my house last fall and have been revamping outside way more than inside! I wanted to know, did you end up using the accordion looking water bladder to make a pot self watering from Gardeners Supply? I wanted to get some and wondered what you thought. Also, I know Im not alone in voting for a grass care and irrigation video. crabgrass is killing me this hot, humid summer! Thanks for everything Lindsay

I'm wondering if a lot of people didn't have a great tomato harvest this year. I had great yield last year and healthy plants and I (and multiple 20+ other gardeners I have talked to) didn't have a great tomato year, whether seeds or transplants. I'm in Southern California, but all over people seem to have said tomatoes didn't flourish this year. Interesting, but did anyone else have an issue too & where from?

I just rewatched your we just bought new property video the difference is insane! The power poles the fences all the large trees the grass lawn and everything else you have done! It would be cool to stitch together all your project videos of the new property. You could do another one of your original property. All the cement, buildings, large trees, the privet hedge and fencing youve had removed.

ive been growing my mnt spring tomatoes with the flordia weave method this yr with great succsess. i have 30+ red tomatoes on 1 plant so might be your variety and not the weave. i hardly got any onions this yr i planted 50. do you have any tips? as they started sizing up they started rotting on top and some turned to mush. i love watching and have learned so much thank you!

Most tomatoes are very temperature sensitive. They won't set fruit if it's too very hot. So, since you have had weeks of temperatures over a hundred every day, I am not surprised your crop hasn't been as good/heavy this year. They also won't do well if it's too cool. (Of course, there are modern hybrids bred to set fruit in higher and lower temperatures)

Hi Laura. Can't believe how hard you work and all the energy you have. I have always heard that I shouldn't put tomatoes in the frig because it changes their flavor. Do you put your tomatoes in the cooler or is there not enough ripe at the same time, like potatoes, to worry about keeping them cool? Tab
