Still Planting Shrubs in November! Garden Answer Barbara: I never get tired of watching you plant, harvest, sow, prune, anything! I am a visual learner with physical tasks. Learning gardening techniques from just listening to talk isnt good enough. It takes longer to talk about or read the steps than it does to just watch and do it. You really helped me work faster and I get twice as much done. Everyone has notices how much prettier my garden is since I started learning from you. So grateful

New Gardner in Ohio: Question I am not to Familiar with drip, but as you plant different plants in the South Garden with different water requirements how do you adjust water for the individually plant when it is in a zone and you have it set for the whole area. I am just trying to understand the process as a whole before I decide if we should add into the infrastructure before the plant hall, thank you!

Hi Laura, You mentioned putting all your acid-loving plants on the same treatment schedule. What do you use to remind yourself of when to treat? Do you use calendar reminders? Excel docs? Would love any tips for creating a schedule to keep on top of maintenance! We also have high ph here in Central Texas, so have been using soil acidifier on certain plants, but maybe not often enough. Thanks! :)

Your garden shed will be a good addition as it will be yet another video venue for doing indoor projects if you cannot or do not wish to use the studio in the barn garage or your home's Sun room porch. Your plantings look wonderful! The Bald Cypress does look like the rust color in late Fall - we had some in our community in Central Florida.

Great quality video! Seems everything is more in real life perspective, (versus the house seeming so far away. Makes the space seem even more cozy. And it feels even more like we're right there with you. Love the flower shed! Am excited to see your mom's when it's done, too. Would love to see a Christmas tour of your parents house too.

I wish we knew how many takes are done when Benjamin is near. He seems like such a perfect child, but realistically I think he must have some typical childhood antics that get edited out. I'll tell myself that anyway so I don't think my grandchildren are too rambunctious. I love having him in the videos.

Hi Laura and Aaron! I like the plant choices you added to the South Garden. I'm looking forward to the addition of the plank pathway/pathways. The shed is coming along nicely. I like how you plan ahead when finishing something for the just in case we might need it times. Thank you so much for sharing!

I am thrilled about the shed. It is definitely going to be a she shed! Have you considered adding skylights? Or a bathroom- haha? And chandeliers for night time-beautiful! Our shed turned into a He/She shed- but love having a place to store things close-nice!

I'm in Anita Hadley's camp with the window boxes - while the 'shed' is charming - those window boxes would make it more like a little doll house! Will it have a porch with Kennedy Rocking chairs? (they are made in North Carolina by P&P Chair Co)
Great idea Anita!

I live in Maine and I am a zone 4 maybe 5 some years. We usually have frozen ground by now. I went out to the garden yesterday and there is an apple blossom on my tree. I have never seen it in all of my almost 60 years! Sure hope it doesnt mess up my spring blossoms!
