How to Catch A Limit of Brook Trout: Summer Edition (Part 2 of 4) John: Thats a need little trick in swinging out the bait! Some of the original fly fishermen in wooden shorelines, use the -bow- tensionn cast, underhand or side hand. Line held with pole hand, and other hand holding the sinker, pull back like hunting bow, point and aim. Then release bait hand, then quickly the pole line hand and wheeee, can shoot nearly 30-40 feet.

Where I fish the daytime temps are in upper 90's and I'm standing close by three different holes with brown trout and they don't take anything I throw. When it's cooler I catch my limit often. Think the heat has an effect on their metabolism?
