Get 20% OFF + Free Shipping -Manscaped with code BEARDSMAN20 at Manscaped. com! - We awaken to a super soggy fall day in the far North of Ontario, but make the most of it! We decided to take the two days we had off from the 40 hour trap course to go way up North for less pressured grouse, or partridge wild game. The day starts off pretty badly with rain, but we persevere and manage to catch a few birds throughout the trip to make a delicious camp meal. We're cooking over a vintage coleman stove that is most likely over 50 years old! We decided to mostly car-camp so we can focus on chasing these delicious birds! We set up our tents, and make a big camp fire to warm up, but this is mostly about enjoying the North, and spending time outside. This video is part of a whole series called '9 Days in the North' that I put together while completing the trap course in North Bay with Ryan Tamlin. The course will certify me as a legal trapper and permit me to use all kinds of traps from no on and even run my own trapline! Throughout the series, we will hunt bear, duck, geese, grouse and whatever other critter is unfortunate to cross our path!

Careful when you jump in the car with a banana in your pocket. Gerry may get the wrong idea!
You're making me jealous. I missed the opening, want to get some time in near the end, but nothing but rain forecast. I don't mind hunting in the rain, but it's such a huge pain to dry a muddy wet large tent in an apartment.

Hey beardsman! Just a tip for bird hunting, go with a wide spread shot for your first shot, like a 7 1/2. Then number 6-s after. That way if you miss your first shot and the bird gets far away from you, your second shot will be a much tighter spread which makes it more possible to hit a long shot!

I'm from the Kirkland lake timmins area and hunted here my whole life and when hunting grouse you learn to look for movement instead of a grouse specifically and I find I get more hares that way too

The place you stopped to get gas is called the the Watershed, that's exactly where i head west on the logging road to go fishing every year since 89. Beautiful area, thanks for the video

I love ruffled grouse. They are delicious. I usually get a couple between archery and gun deer season where I hunt here in upstate NY.

The Wooded Beardsman shaves his junk? It's going to take me a while to process the amount of manpoints you've lost because of this. ;)
