NEW Performance Shirts! SALE Won't Last Long! Every year thousands of Glass minnows migrate down Floridas East Coast and giant tarpon follow. This was my first time fishing the glass minnow run, which is very similar to the mullet run. My buddy Alec caught and released a tarpon and we all got dragged close to 2 miles down the beach by a massive fish. I fought the tarpon for around 45 min and it was surely in the 150+lb class, a real monster! Nothing for exciting than surf fishing for the silver king!

That's really cool he's moving to Okinawa, my dad is also in the marines and I was born there and lived there two times. It is a really cool place and the beachs and weather are a lot like Hawaii where I live now. The fishing, both inshore and offshore, is really good. And the aquarium there is one of the best in the world. It would be really cool if you could possibly go visit him while he is stationed there and make some cool videos out of it.

5: 42 i'm not a professional fisherman like these guys but i'm 100% that was not a tarpon. I was able to stop a 180 pound tarpon with 50 pound braid, 80 mono leader and a 6000 reel, idk what you guys were using. Also it didn't jump, and trust me that every single tarpon jumps at least couple times. It was probably a shark that got a nice hookset in the corner of the mouth

What a great catch! Nothing like hooking into a tarpon from beach. So much better than being in a boat. Great work capt.
