CHECK OUT NEW MY APPAREL LANDSHARK GEAR: It's been a while since I hit the flats and went wade fishing. With the poor water quality and lack of fish in the Indian river the past year, we were very happy to see healthy numbers of Speckled (sea) trout. These fish are becoming more and more elusive with habitat loss. Jayson's Contact info below. Jaysons info:

Really enjoyed this one, thanks Viktor!
A thought for you. Went fishing tonight with my son. 4 hours sitting there in the cold for one bite (missed) and a crab. 30 years ago, there would have been fish after fish all evening. Will never happen in my lifetime, maybe not in my sons either. Why? Far too many people taking far too many fish home. Sure, with C&R, som may well die. With constant harvesting, ALL will die! Sadly, in the UK, we only have a minimum size limit on any seafish. FOr instance, we cannot catch and keep sea bass at the moment, but thats no bad thing because number in recent years have plummetted drastically. So any time you're advocating C&R, you got my vote! Sure, take the odd one or two for the table, but I can never understand a so called pleasure angler needing to fill a trash bag with fish to take home and give away too all and sundry in a bid to make themself look like they are such a great fisherman. Yeah, I did it when I was a kid and am now paying the price of having very very few left in my local area left to catch.

Hey Victor, myself and family are on vacation next week ( 12th thru 18th) from Dawsonville Ga and will be staying about 30 miles N west of the Sebastian Inlet. I tried like hell to plan this vacation based on watching several videos in which you were either fishing talking about the ' mullet run'. Before I ask any questions it should go without saying, Great videos you and Brooks do! I plan on fishing at least 5 straight days either at or around Sebastian Inlet. So now after and anticipating for several months I just yesterday dusted off 8 poles and began getting ready for next week! This morning my wife tells me there are 3 TDs in Florida. Maybe we'll get lucky and they with split and go around both lower and upper Fla, I can only hope that my parade doesnt get pissed on. Anyhow, I was just wondering how close are we going to be to getting our trip in sync with the mullet? Do you know? Thanks, Keep up the great vids.

There is nothing like wade fishing. I will use a boat to reach an area, but then it is anchor the boat and wade. Like your buddy said you can catch fish after fish just because you are not dropping them on a boat deck and making a racket. Why not use a lipper device instead of handling the fish? Really surprised that the top water didn't produce. Specks usually crush topwater lures before sunup. Maybe it was just too late.

Just for a bit of help but if you put water on your hands then hold the trout it wont be much of trouble when you try to handle them cause when your hand is dry you're just removing the protective slime from the fish which makes it harder to hold

Two times in my life I've caught two fish on a treble hook swimbait. Both times it was a Mirrolure and both times it was a mess of Bluefish running Pogeys.

Use to fish the lagoon when I stayed in vero beach. Alot of sting Ray's and blue crab around the area I fished. Some times had a shark go by me

Born and raised in Martin County, I wouldn't eat a thing out of the Indian River. Absolutely disgusting salinity levels because of lake O.

the specks are about to heat up here! hope this hurricane doesnt mess em up, sick video! one of my favorite inshore species

Jason does make a good point on where the trout go. Some marine research program should tag a few trout to see where they go.
