INVASIVE Multispecies Catch Clean Cook! Mayan Cichlid, Peacock Bass, Oscar

Since the ocean was too rough to fish this week, Brook and I headed inshore to chase after some freshwater fish. We caught Peacock Bass, Oscar, Mayan Cichlid and crappie! Oscars and Mayan cichlids are considered highly invasive fish in Floridas water, while Peacock bass are nonnative meaning they don't pose a threat. All three fish species we tried were delicious and far from trash fish!

New here so if this was asked before Im sorry.
Two parter
You made points on trash fish - chilean sea bass was a by catch - having a oversized bloodline. So that with the fact you put fish on ice long enough for them to die. If Im off base with that let me know. I am Far from a person who ever thought about the early septs in the food chain to table.
Why not dispatch (keeping PC people away by not saying words like kill) the fish when caught or keep them in cold water so they are still alive must can breath till they meet the table in the water vs which they cant on ice?
Tied to both of the above. Could you take a trash fish and bleed them. Kind of euthanize fish cut gills and tip of tail so the heart will get rid of the blood and the blood line is said to be less obvious?

Hey, it is your video and all. But putting all that seasoning on the fish hides what the fish actually tastes like. Your video was about can you eat freshwater fish I guess. The rest of the country knows that. But if you had a chance to target one species over another, which one is best? Just cooking with a little oil and butter with salt, you could make a comparison.

I just started watching you and Brook. This show is excellent. You answer a lot of questions about what is in all the ponds, lakes, etc in residential areas. Cooking the fish adds credibility to your show. I watch your shows every day now. Very entertaining.

If you catch an invasive species are you allowed to release it? Even if you are allowed SHOULD you? I've never dealt with invasive species so if anyone knows please do let me know. It seems like something the wildlife services wouldnt want you to do

I dunno, man. I'm pretty landlocked here in Pennsylvania, and I'll always take a cooler of farmpond bluegill. Obviously not truly stagnant water, since that would mean a lack of oxygen. but goddamn i like freshwater fish too.

Landshark, why do your guest always mix up the fish on their plate. I really wanted to know what the mayan tasted like. However, nobody could tell us which one was the mayan. Otherwise great content, awesome job. Thanks.

Why did you take out the Peacock Bass? They are beneficial to controlling the other invasive species. Killing the Speckled Peacock is actually ILLEGAL!

I've seen a video on a certain cichlid species where the people doing the review we're actually running off camera to vomit. I appreciate this second opinion.
