Kinda weird seeing fishing championship depend on like 12 inch fish. Nothing against anyone, but that's a weird fishery to pick. Also the tragic events, rough waters, lack of emergency response totally makes sense for cancelling the event. What doesn't make sense is overriding the rule of having to fish 12 hours to be ruled official. I mean I guess having results is better than no contest, but that's still weird. Should be more time open for fishing.
The white marlin open has 5 days open for fishing I believe, but boats may only compete for three of those days. The same could be done for this championship. Schedule it for five days and if the first three days are good then the first three are fished and it's over.

12: 25 was this at 43M depth or feet Would you mind sharing a video or a short explaining and showing the rig and the technical things such as the hook size and the bait/lures I often fish on my kayak in the mediterranean with jigs, but rarely catch that much or even that size. I tend to be in between 10m - 20m with 10gr - 25gr jigs but im not sure if I should go deeper or what exactly I should change. Great video!

They are right in their decision. Unfortunately due to the circumstances they don’t really have another choice. The weather here in
Spain can change quite rapidly and it is rather often that they close ports and don’t allow any sort of water craft out into the water

You need a clear cover for your bump board. If it’s just a clear piece that somehow clips to the bump board or something the fish slides into then lay it on the bump board that’ll stop them from flopping around everywhere

ive seen shad and chubs bigger then what theyre catching remind my to never go to spain to fish could get a bigger fish in a freshwater creek and just feed the dead to the fish so they can get bigger god know they need it

I've never watched a baitfish sabiki tournament. This is a bring your kid show. I hope you all gave your catch to the people going out to catch real fish. This is a sanctioned multi country tournament Hilarious.

I think catching small fish is not what salt water fishing is about from a competition standpoint. i mean our min size for a lot of fish is 30cm in New Zealand. Did everyone fish out of a hobie

Is there a reason why you have to unhook the fish before you photograph it I mean with it still on the line your chances of getting a second chance if they flip overboard are pretty good.

Ngl this is probably the least entertaining tournament ive ever seen. Dont even have rigs to catch anything bigger than bait. Love your chanel and content but this was just weird af.

As soon as you said they were going to go against the rules i knew spain was on top. I'm willing to bet if any other country was on top they would've nullified and voided the tournament.

How can you fish the salts and not know what is a sand worm aka Power worms. This is embarrassing to the kayaking and salt fishing community. Sabiki are for catching bait fish.

That’s the worst tournament I’ve ever seen sad it involved several countries but I know with the kayaks you can’t just rip the motor out there so it’s understandable
