Light Tackle Fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee Field Trips New Hampshire

In this episode I'm on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire looking for smallmouth and largemouth bass, yellow perch and whatever else we can get into. We battle intense winds on the lake while kayak fishing, then switch to Plan B and hit a pond with my friend Ed Perry and his nephew William. The pond is on FIRE and we catch a ton of bass on light tackle

I absolutely love the kid. I need me some white birches lol
I have to put it out there. The invasive species, (rockbass) are actually great to eat. There are lots of tails that they taste like dirt. I have mixed them in with my pan fried panfish and no one at the table knew until I told them. They taste just like every other panfish in my book. There may be some who argue, but I'm willing to bet they did not try them and just went with what they were told.

Lake Winnie is my smallmouth MECCA! That fishery is truly spectacular. I've had countless days of 70+ smallmouth with 100+ days a regular possibility. Gosh man. I love that lake so much and you reminded me of that! If you ever get the chance, Weirs Beach and Meredith Bay areas are filthy with smallmouth. Everything from shorts to 5+ lb slabs. Great video man!

Looking to get a good kayak. Im 6 185 pounds. Mostly would fish lakes, some rivers, and a few times a year offshore and bay fishing. Right now considering either the new outback or compass. Whats your opinion?

No way, cant believe you fished Winni and I missed it. I wish you had hit up Squam Lake in Holderness or Sandwich, the lake that On Golden Pond was filmed. Awesome stuff man

Awesome little clear lake. Sometimes a day with that kind of feel is just what the soul needs. Look forward to seeing what's up in the next vid. Bent rods & tight lines.

Love this episode. This area is now on the list. Curious on how you transport your kayaks, I assume in the back of toyhauler. Can you show footage of how you haul kayaks?

Nice episode, Robert. I have the feeling that instead of concentrating on fishing, I'll be looking for White Birches next time I'm paddling down the shoreline.

Geeze Robert, I wish I knew you were gonna be in my back yard of the Lakes region, I could have put you on some 3-4lbs rainbows fly fishing.

You can tell he works hard on his videos. The editing is better than most videos Ive seen for fishing. Really good work Robert, keep it up.

Couldn't find the pond? You need to get an app called onX maps. Great for off road and trails, and even shows property ownership.
