A great video again. I think you may hear from Pen, Rob (My Son's name too). Sealed ball bearings! Now I know why I have to service and lube every year. OK so next let's open that tackle box for a good look-see. My son finally brought back my tackle box from my ex's. Haven't seen it in 20 years. Mostly Bass Pro stuff from the early years. A treasure was the jars of pork rind squiggle tails and worms which are indistructable still. Loved your last video. A bit of sensory overload. Jamie and you with guns all in the same video. Question? You personally how close is it from the published date from the time you actually recorded the event presented. Thanks the smalles and sturgeon will be waking up in 4 months.

I bought a 33 foot camper and I'm trying to fish across America as well. I'm no where even close to your level but I'm always open to anything that might improve my knowledge of the one thing I've truly love and have been pursuing since I could hold a rod, and the vivid memory catching my first cutthroat trout in the mountains of Colorado. I'll be 40 at the end of May 2019 and found out three years ago I'm terminally ill and since I'm no longer able to work fishing anyday, anyywhere, and anytime I see a good spot seemed to be the perfect way to enjoy life, even if only for awhile longer

Thanks man. I needed this. As I'm starting to fish and trying to learn my brother got me a Penn Battle II 5000 for lake fishing and some inland kayak fishing in Galveston Bay thinking it could do both. Now, I'm thinking I need to return it and get a 2000 spinning reel or 3000 at most because I will mainly be fishing in Lake Conroe for bass, crappie, and catfish. I will probably buy another rod and reel too so I have two. Maybe a 3000 and a 2000 Penn Battle II combo would be the best set ups for me. Thanks again and Gig em!

I'm looking for a new spinning real for my ultra light rod I use for trout. I would like to get a baitfeeder, Penn fierce 2 makes a live liner but the smallest is 2500. Do you think that will be over kill on an ultra light rod? I currently have a Shimano IX1000R. Thanks for the help Rob, love the videos

I'm just getting back into fishing since I was a kid & it's groovy to see someone talking about budget friendly gear & actually using it on a regular basis. You threw out a heap of terms I've never heard before so subbed just to learn what the heck ya'll are talking about lol

Hey Robert, I just watched your fresh water gear video, lots of info there. With regard to the Paco series kayak rod, I know the guy who developed that particular system for kayaks.
Looking forward to the following inshore and offshore gear video series in the future.

If you want to prevent braid slipping on a reel without a rubber grip on the spool, you can always wrap the spool with a bit of electrical tape. It's what I do to avoid having to back my spinning reels with mono/fluoro
