Awesome what your catching in a kayak. Could I suggest some C&R training regarding fish survival? Really not fair to the fish to have to Pose for the camera while a 2 minute or longer fish species history lesson given. fish are suffocating during that process. not cool at all. And, is hard to watch!

Loving your roadtrip so far. I noticed with the hobie you adjust your direction when fighting a fish, without pedaling (cycling, is that how they work? You can steer with just the pull of the fish? Hobie is out of my price range but rigging up a rudder isn't. that seemed really effective.

Coast Guard is always cool as shit. I work on a halibut charter and every time they board us they are more interested in the fishing than anything else haha. I even saw their big cutter boat with a few guys filleting some ling cod and halibut one day!

was that stormbreakers brewery at the end? Im from SoCal but been to portland twice and went to every brewery possible up there haha. next time ill have to bring my gear and see if i can get a sturgeon on some saltwater bass tackle haha
