Would it make sense to have the noise graph reflect how noise is perceived by making the gap larger the higher the db is in graph is? I guess some would argue that it is not fair to skew the graph that way, but I would argue that the number it self is not as important as the meaning behind the number to the person that will be listening to that noise at home, and making the graph reflect the logarithmic nature of db would be a better way to show the noise.

I grabbed a 360 shortly after they were released, as my NZXT Kraken died not long before.
It was a pain to install (Intel), but it is performing really well, i honestly can't say I ever noticed any pump whine though. The fans run around 780rpm most of the time, so they're not contributing much noise, while the pump hovers around 3350rpm, I genuinely can't hear anything unless i stop the fans altogether.

Not going to lie. I went with Galahad 360 because it was pretty much the best looking cooler back in August which did not have any coolant leaks or pump problems associated with them. Did not expect it to come close, let alone exceed any of the veterans on the market. This is definitely a nice surprise and Lian Li earned it with the high quality their products have and relatively low prices.

that said given intel's current positioning Lian Li's got a little bit of time to figure out that improvement before there's a wide demand for it .
The amount of shade that Steve is currently providing for Intel CPU's might start to affect the temperatures measured. Will the GN team have to re-visit the variance in these tests? ;)

Noise (and therefore cooling efficiency) is the most important thing to me. The Arctic Liquid Freezer is clearly a topper for that, but I can't get over how hideous the design is. I'd probably still choose it if I were building now (but nothing's in stock, so not like it matters), but that's still such a shame.

I help a lot of first time builders in the PC World discord, and the fact that Lian Li supplies any wiring instructions at all, is a 100% improvement over many makers of RGB components. Usually they have to upload photos of the harness and connectors, so we can sort it out for them.

I do take issue with the statement that the arctic doesn't look good. Having RGB isn't a pre-requisite to something looking good. I think the fans look really nice and the jet black finish looks very classy. This is coming from someone who does have plenty of RGB in there case.

I'm a little surprised that Lian Li went with these fans rather than their modular UNI fans that lock together and automatically daisy-chain. If you're selling on the convenience of an AIO, surely reducing the amount of RGB wiring would be a selling point?

Thanks for this Steve. I'm starting to research components for my New Years new build..my i7-8700k and gtx1080ti are getting dated and I finally feel like there is enough difference to justify a new build. Videos for some of these non-gpu/cpu are great.

Interesting, I have had the Galahad 360 for a few months now and never really noticed any pump whine, I will have to pay attention to it to see if I have that, but I will say it does seem to cool my 5800x quite nicely,. Awesome review as always thanks.
