Next Gen consoles will make Pc gaming essentially irrelevant as we ll finally get the deep console level developer optimizations for game s while also having high end custom Ryzen 3700x based CPU s which will eliminate the long running 30fps low power mobile Jaguar CPU limitations of the current welfare generation consoles as the days of 30fps console gaming is finished, and it s gonna be awesome too get excellent console level optimized games with high performance CPU s where every single game will run either 120fps or locked 60fps minimum standard, and so there s literally no reason to spend 3X the price to build a gaming Pc anymore as the traditional low power 30fps console limitations are no longer gonna be an issue The fact we re gonna get high performance hardware in these next Gen consoles with ultra low level graphics API, and deep console level developer optimizations is gonna be incredible to say the least as consoles will always deliver significantly higher performance than an equivalent Paper Spec Pc because of ultra low level to the metal graphics API, and deep console level developer optimizations, and that was always true for all previous Gen machines but these current welfare Gen systems screwed it all up when they chose to go with the weakest possible mobile Jaguar CPU s they could possibly use limiting the performance of so many games to either 30fps, and or inconsistent 60fps targets which rarely ever held stable in all but a few small handful of games Xbox Series X specs below custom 8 core 16 thread 3. 5ghz Ryzen 3700x CPU, custom Next Gen Rdna 2 based 12 teraflops real time hardware accelerated Ray tracing GPU, plus ultra fast gddr6 system memory, plus custom X570 chipset motherboard with a custom pcie 4. 0 nvme ssd drive, etc as that s an insane amount of power inside of a closed loop system with an ultra low level graphics API, and deep console level developer optimizations as the level of Next Gen graphics, and performance capabilities of this machine will surpass 95% of all gaming Pc s of late 2020/2021 as only the ultra highest end enthusiast level Pc builds of late 2020/2021 with a either a new Nvidia 3080ti, and or full Navi 21 GPU will be able to match or surpass the graphics, and performance combination of Series X as we re talking Native 4K ultra locked 60fps minimum standard in every single game with Ray tracing enabled, and or Dynamic 4K / 1440p 120fps performance as that s the standard level of what this type of insanely powerful cutting edge machine is gonna be able to deliver across the board as there s no current Pc graphics card on the market which will be able to match the Series X custom 12 teraflops Next Gen Rdna 2 based GPU with its dedicated hardware accelerated Ray tracing cores which will handle all the Ray tracing by themselves as to not impact the performance because the Ray Tracing cores will be separate from the GPU as they ll work independently handling all the Ray Tracing, and with the ultra low level API, and deep console level developer optimizations were gonna see a level of next Gen graphics, and performance never seen before in gaming as this thing is gonna be amazing to say the least Fyi, Even PS5 with only 9. 2 to 10 teraflops custom first Gen Navi based GPU is still gonna be extremely fast as even though it s not as powerful as the Series X GPU it s still gonna deliver minimum between Rtx 2080 Super & Rtx 2080ti level graphics, and performance across the board as 9. 2 to 10 teraflops inside of a console with an ultra low level graphics API, and deep console level developer optimizations is Insane amount of power as a console can deliver upwards of 40% more performance than an equivalent Paper Spec Pc, and the Rx 5700XT already beats 2070 super in many games, and even competes with Rtx 2080 in some cases, and so there s no doubt a custom 5700XT inside the PS5 will be able to deliver significantly higher performance than a 5700XT inside Pc, and will easily match Rtx 2080 Super, and will be very close to Rtx 2080ti The Xbox Series X is an entirely different Beast altogether as this machine will deliver about 30% more performance than Rtx 2080ti level Pc on average, and the PS5 will deliver at least Rtx 2080 Pc level performance on average so regardless which one you choose to go with they re gonna be off the charts insanely high performance consoles unlike anything we ve ever seen before as we should all be super excited

Just came across this video. So just about 20 minutes ago I finished doing an upgrade on one of my systems. I was running Red Dead Redemption 2 pretty well on my older system. That system was an Intel i7 2600 processor. Obviously an older processor from 2011. As far as the ram, it is pieced together with multiple different speeds LOL. The graphics card I recently bought is a GTX 1660 super. The motherboard is an MSI z77a g41. My frame rates averaged around 45 frames per second on almost everything set to Ultra. I think Reflections were set too high and that was about it. All in all the game ran really smooth. I never dropped below 35 frames per second that I ever saw. In most cases I was leveled out at 60 frames per second. My new system that I just put together is with a ryzen 7 2700 X. The motherboard is hey gaming b450m Plus. The ram is the G skill 16GB 3000 megahertz ddr4. I am using the same GTX 1660 super card. Hard drives Etc obviously were taken off of The Other Board. I noticed right away that the frame rates seem to be about 10 frames per second less than the old pieced together and tell set up. When running The in-game Benchmark my average frames per second we're about 40 and the lowest being 28 frames per second. I am pretty shocked and quite frankly a little let down. Although the game is perfectly playable on Max settings for the most part it is kind of a letdown to see that it is performing 10 to 15 frames per second less. I have yet to actually cap out at 60 frames per second in the camp where I checked it last time before taking the system apart to put the new AMD stuff in. As far as the benchmarks I am running nearly double to three times on several different benchmark scores but for some reason the game doesn't seem to like the AMD ryzen. I haven't checked GTA V yet but again thought I would put up my numbers as they are just now fresh. Pardon any typos or weird spelling as I used my speech to text since I hate typing on phones LOL. I think everyone would get the point I am trying to make here.

Limited threads really becomes a huge problem in this game, I mean, just look at the 2600k absolutely destroying the 7600k, it doesn't even look like a fair comparison, like putting a Celeron to compete against a i7, except that the 7600k is a much newer CPU with a much higher clock speed and a higher IPC as well, it's just that not having hyperthreading makes the difference from smooth +60 fps gameplay to unplayeable garbage. Ryzen also did pretty well in this game, winning at the 1% lows and 0. 1% lows across the board. Overall, I would consider this an all around AMD win because they had a considerable advantage at the frametimes against all Intel CPUs, which ranged from being a bit better to being overwhelmingly faster to the point Ryzen performs greatly while their Intel counterpart can't even deliver a playable experience. I was also impressed by the 9600k and 9700k doing so poorly, the 1600 and 1700 completely wiped the floor with them despite being much cheaper first gen parts, and even more impressive, the 2600k also did so much better than both of those CPUs which doesn't make any sense considering the 9700k has 8 threads just like the 2600k, but with the 2600k only has half the physical cores. It's like if SMT was an absolute must for this game for some weird reason, I mean, a 1700 winning against a 9700k may make sense in Blender or Cinebench, but it's a small win even in those ideal conditions, here it was a day and night difference, and a 2600k destroying a 9700k is plain nonsense.

Im running RDR2 with the XB1 X Compareable Settings shown in a Digital Foundry Video on an AMD FX 8350 non OC with a GTX 1060 6GB non OC in 1080p and this Game runs absiolutely smooth and without any Problems. Tested Ingame Benchmark hat AVG FPS 58 Min FPS 55 and Maximum 66FPS. So far it didnt even crash a single time after 8 Hours of Ingame Time and the performance stays at the same Level for the whole time. Im wondering if its just the new OP Hardware which causes all these problems and crashes, since my Old System runs it like this. In addition i have to say, i dont get why people complain about Bad Performance. Ofc there are people having Problems starting the game at all and this sucks a lot but People complaining about Bad Performance and setting absolutely everything to Ultra dont need to wonder about 30FPS. You should better ask yourself, does it really have to be Ultra? As i said im running the Xbox 1 X Comparable Setting from DF and this Game looks already Stunning in 1080p. Actually its the most beautiful Game ive seen in a long time. Im pretty sure its possible to play the game in 4K 60fps with a 1080TI with the same Settings, so with all the RTX 20 Cards it should be easily possible to run 4K 60 with HIGH Settings and not Ultra.

Yeah not sure; I pre-loaded the game, installed it as soon as it came out and didn't have any issues like other people are having. Have been playing since it launched and still haven't had it crashed. Not sure if it's just my spec or what? When I installed it I had my anti-virus off, I made sure to run the launcher as admin, and didn't have issues. I recently did a hard reset on my pc to clear out some of the junk i had installed that I didn't need anymore and when I re-installed the launcher this time I experienced it crashed right after it installed. I then went into the property setting and changed the setting for all-users to run as admin and hasn't crashed again. No problems since then. My GTA5 on the other hand, crashed in story mode every 10-15min. i have done everything Rockstar has instructed me to do but nothing works. It's the only game in my entire pc that crashes. very strange.

Concerning the game not starting, something that worked for me after 2 straight days of ripping my non existent hair out was changing the audio output from realtek HD audio to the monitor audio. I use a 4k Samsung tv. Even after the most recent patches for the launcher and the game, I tested my find again and sure enough it keeps crashing on realtek audio. Could be a motherboard issue with the MSI z170a tomahawk ac, i7 6700k, and MSI 1080ti Gaming X. After audio fix now RDR2 is buttery smooth with Vulkan, 1440p, with mixed medium/high/ultra settings, TAA high, face off, msaa off, and vsync locked at 60, barely ever dips.

How the hell i'm running this at 40 FPS 1080p all maxed, only water is 3/4 and no taa. Palit GTX 1080 Amp extreme 8gb vram i5 4690k 8gb ddr3 ram. Needed to do some tweaks for stability issues. GPU clock -20 Hz GPU mem clock -40 Hz GPU fans 100 % Use CPU lasso to limit 1 thread for 2% for 1 s. Clear settings folder in c, users, app data etc. (Leave only system. ini cuz this remembers your settings) When usage spike to 100 % If i dont do this game crash after 60 s. I have around 40 FPS. I can reach 60 FPS with medium high settings, but game is 2 damn georgeus and stilo smoother than PS4 pro version ive played B4.

I could play the game from the beginning with a R5 2600 and Strix x-470-F gaming. Newer Intel cpu are buggered-up to pump-up fps benchmarks and they outkick their coverage to borrow a football analogy. Intel stopped innovating their cpus for enthusiast and just focused on making lopsided benchmarks that put the cpu outside the envelope that render choke-points. The parts got bigger than the whole. Nvidia has some similar problems. I'm not going to put all blame on Rockstar. Vast majority of people aren't playing on high-end hardware optimized for benchies

I get 40-48 fps at 1440p on rd2 ultra setting I just refuse to play the game at medium setting I don't mind having the settings in high but it's about the same performance I get in ultra I have both FXAA and TAA on with msaa off (the Biggest performance hitter) for me I run the game in vulkan because for some odd reason the game can't and won't launch when it's in dx12 I have an ryzen 3900x 10% overclocked with an RX 5700xt The game constantly crashes Making me not want to play the game rockstar needs to fix it Outside of this no problems

I'm using i7-6850k and 1080ti on win8. 1 (using vulkan. I maxed all settings at 1440p and I'm getting 27-35fps. Story mode is playable tbh. No freezes, it just feels like 27fps. If I use the optimised settings from Hardware Unboxed I get 52-85fps (avg 70ish) and it feels pretty smooth. My cpu sits at 52C with a H100i, and the gpu fan is quite loud. I'm also running a minecraft server in the background, people occasionally connect to it while I'm playing rdr2 lol. No idea what their experience is like, no complaints so far.
