Cyberpunk 2077 PC Case Mod & Dual-Socket E-Waste Build, Pt. 1

Attempting a #Cyberpunk 2077-themed case mod, following the Cyber-Up Your PC mod contest (not an entry!). The theme is e-waste, so we're pulling some Enermax coolers & the SL600M. We're not entering the #Cyberpunk2077 contest, but thought it'd be a fun opportunity to try modding again. In this video, Steve & Patrick do their best JayzTwoCents impressions to channel his energy and throw together a mod quickly. Unfortunately, Jay has much more experience and also knows how to paint things, so we had to fallback on the theme of a reusable future, as the game poses. This allowed us to dig-up e-waste, like Enermax coolers, and to repurpose old review products, like the Cooler Master SL600M, into the case mod. We're also working with some unique hardware, like the Huananzhi dual-socket X79 motherboard, which we previously reviewed.

You are missing a little detail with the front panel battle damage, take the ketchup and mustard PSU cables from the 90's and mangle the eff out of them, burn them, untwist stripped wires and burn.. just mess them up and then use those to accent the damaged holes. You can bend a few undamaged to make normal pipe like shapes in the background and the damaged flaring out like the case damage.
Also a trick for aging something flat, use a chain to smack it. Pretend you are Indiana Jones and the chain is your whip and swing it for all you are worth a few times. Then switch it up and get some jagged rocks and throw them at the flat panel. after all that use a common sponge to apply black paint to it then burnt umber paint ontop and wipe it off from the surface carefully to leave some paint in dents and scratches. repeat the paint after drying and again until it is grungy.. the less paint skills the better because the more random.

Hey Steve! Just go the new mat, it's freaking awesome! I'm really happy to have one after knowing they sold out in 48hs. I only wish the EU wouldn't be so damn burocratic, I had to pay 11 Euros extra here in Germany for import fees, which is crazy. Keep up the good work and we'll keep supporting you.

Can you imagine the Enermax site is still using flash?!!! Who knows what they were trying to show me because long ago I defaulted to HTML5 only because who wants all those security holes? My machine doesn't even (and will never) have flash on it.

Cyberpunk lost me when they became another cowardly company that put out a black jpeg statement while never once mentioning (let alone condemning) the ongoing violence and rioting that has destroyed black communities across the country.

GN: Steve, do you already have a Thermaltake Core P8 case, will there be a review? I am really excited for that one with so much space for radiators.
B2T: next a build with just chinese unknown PC parts of companies we've never heard of?

I love the reference to Enermax' e-waste!
I have one of those on my Threadripper and I was surprised(?) to see that you can actually still buy it and nobody will tell you how shitty it is (except for the reviews)

lol complain about case manufacturers going for looks over thermals for front panels. get a chance to make your own case and front panel sacrifice air flow for looks, oh the might have fallen!!!!
