Hi. I live in Serbia. I saw you're video and i just wanted to ask you one question. I searched all over Belgrade to find that simple jump stretch band, but they don't have that here, they only have bands that have ends (don't form a circle like yours, they also have different colors (red, yellow, blue, and green are for easier weights and gray and black are for bigger weights. My question is will the band with ends do the job if i tie a knot with the two sides to form a circle. Thanks: )

0: 24 = one hand chin up, not a one arm pull up.
Chin Up = palm facing you, Pull Up = palm away from you.
One ARM pull/chin up = One arm pulling, other isn't doing anything
One HAND pull/chin up = using the other hand to pull by holding your arm or wrist. effectively doubles the required grip strength and works your back muscles unevenly.

The elastic bands are available from any athletic supply store.
A chair will work also. Let the chair take the weight of a leg, or both legs, but don't push with your legs. However, having a couple of bands of differing resistance are very useful for other exercises. Jeff uses them in other ways in the AthleanX program.

Depending on height, some might need a shorter or longer band though. And if your gym does have an assisted machine, it is the same as using the band. You are still building strength to do a pull up. The shorter the band, the greater the resistance, that can help assist you.

Hi Jeff,
You did this exercise with the purple Jump Stretch band (up to 50lbs. You also did an Hamstring exercise with it. Is it the same as using the red ElastX X-treme band (45-90lbs? Which one should we buy?
Thanks

-tubenunofabio Yes. you would require the AthLEAN X-treme Band (red) to perform this exercise. Some heavier guys might want to double up the red bands.
