1. Although I think it was well argued in the blog post, it's possible that many people don't think of the immune system as a muscle that you work and stress to improve. Perhaps many people think of it like a well that you fill up with nutrients from superfoods and supplements until your immune system reaches sufficient levels. The issue with this line of reasoning is that the well can still easily overflow. 2. Vitamin C may have more hope in the coming months for COVID-19. There is a new study underway investigating Vitamin C infusion for the treatment of severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia as well as some (very) mixed evidence for ventilated patients. As things stand in March/April 2020, this is still all speculation though. I've linked to those studies here: 3. Vitamin D is interesting when it comes to COVID-19 because because it can interact with ACE2, the key receptor for coronavirus binding. At this point, what this means nutritionally is a complete unknown. Vitamin D IS strongly supportive of immune function, but the novel coronavirus isn't well studied enough to totally rule out a possible detriment if Vitamin D dosing is higher. This is why in the video I recommend 1, 000-2, 000 IU as an optional (high-end) dose for the time being, since we don't know exactly how Vitamin D and SARS-CoV-2 are related as of now

If my memory is correct, one of the causes of death during the 1918 Flu Pandemic for the young men station in all the military barracks was their immune system worked so well, it killed the patient, the immune system responds was so overwhelming, that over response is what caused the patient's death. There are also assorted immune system going after the very body tissues it is supposed to protecting. You can easily search for them. So, like so many things in life, it isn't just black and white, it is gray and generally shades of gray also. Why should life be easy when it can be hard? Right?

Zinc is another effective supplement/nutrient in strengthening the immune system & how it responds to viruses. I've read that it's a very effective supplement in fighting against the common cold, fevers, seasonal flu & it has also shown to be effective in fighting against viruses that are part of the Corona-family, and it may potentially be effective in fighting against Covid-19 - although there hasn't been too much research into how it reacts to this specific virus. Just wanted to share this info with everyone Take care everybody.

Curious, from several explanations from doctors detailing how the virus actually kills people, they all have stated that its your bodies immune response that actually kills you. The bodies immune response is what leads to pneumonia and ARDS. With this information one may deduce that having a lower immune system may be beneficial. Unproven theory that may lead to interesting results if tested. The movie World War Z comes to mind, the state of poor health actually saves you from becoming a zombie. What are your thoughts?

There is a huge point about diet that people do miss. You can reverse diabetes through diet. Diabetes is one of the comorbidities found in fatal cases of covid19 and with comorbidities resulting in an almost 80% death rate (based on some American statistics, this should be the thing people look at fixing the most to drastically improve their chances should they, unfortunately, catch the virus. Unfortunately, most people are unwilling to make the necessary lifestyle changes because they love bread/pasta/soda.

Hi I have been on a planted based diet for a while but until recently I lernat that flaxseeds decrease your testoserone and that was my omega 3 source. Where should I get my omega 3 from? And another qusetion: I have been eating oatmeal for my breakfast for the longest time. But 2 days ago I learnt that oatmeal decrease your testoserone so should I eat rye flakes, barley flakes or just simply make a smothie instead? (If oatmeal decrease testoserone)

Zinc has been known to help regulate immune response in that it suppresses cytokines from being over-produced. Many people who die from Covid-19 are dying from the body's over-response to the virus, and if zinc helps suppress cytokine production there is a chance that it could help the body better manage its response to the virus. I'll be taking zinc supplements and I hope you all do too.

If you would do a part 2 on this, could you maybe include Transfer Factors? The increase in natural killer cell function is interesting as its a literal boost to innate immune function, with quite a bit of stuff to read about it on Google Scholar. But the way it's commercially available makes me wary, and would love to hear your analysis on it if it's hokey or not.

They would say that. Don't trust a word that they say that being said they have just found out that Zink if it can find a delivery vehicle to get into the covid-19 cell or body it will kill it abit like vit-C mimics are cells and when the Cancer tries to what it thinks is a normal cell it makes the cancer cell explode there four killing it.
