I'd add, chose a weight that maximizes mechanical tension. Meaning, once I lowered the weight, focused on the stretch, mechanical tension in the negative, going to failure or 1RIR my hard gaining arms started making progress. I train arms and lateral delts twice a week with 2-3 days rest in between.

One thing you could do is get yourself a set of rings and hook them onto a pull-up bar. Then lean back. Curl with your body weight. Lean back further for more resistance. It's what gymnast do

after decades of lifting I found that very low incline db curls ( check out Dr Mike RP, Bayesian curls and full rom preacher curls blew up my biceps more than anything else
