2 problems with this video: 1. I haven't seen any proof Arnold built his physique using full body over splits 2. Doing 15-20 sets on chest doesn't mean doing the same exercise, or working the same part of the muscle, losing strength and effectiveness. You can do 15-20 sets on a body part and have great results, working them twice per week.
This is why pro bodybuilders, who get paid to put on muscle, DON'T do full-body workouts for a contest. It's not as effective. Arnold worked out SIX HOURS A DAY, doing splits, not full body.
I think the issue here is with Arnold, he is talking about Arnold doing Chest and Back in the morning, and then Legs in the afternoon. That's still a split, not a full body routine. He just did more and more split workouts to build more muscle. Instead of doing Legs twice a week, he'd do them 3X per week. He never went to a 5 day full body routine.

Progressive load is harder to achieve without more recovery time. Maybe at first but you plateau out quick. The thing I don't like about it is that it can actually create imbalances when you think it would be the opposite. If you fatigue muscle that's used in a later movement, you might be selling yourself short on weight load for that next muscle group. You can tinker and try to round it out but then remaining consistent becomes challenging as you try to switch up the orders to hit muscle groups when they are fresh.
I think it can be a good throw in for a couple of months if you pick up the pace and go for a shredding calorie burn and maybe hold onto lean mass. It depends on your goals.

Spilts are for the body builders mostly. Fighters and conditioning athletes require to do whole body workouts. They don-t just move there biceps and chest. Athletes move the whole body when they move so they must transition the strength in real life. All Strength athletes build total strength by nothing but whole body workouts. You just do different movements for each muscle group each day you do a whole body workout

It just makes sense. If you do one or two reps of push ups and pull ups 6 times a week(mon-sat) your gonna be consisntently getting stronger because your doing it nearly everyday. Just like if your a brick layer or laborer who works 5-6 days a week every week humping those bricks it won't take very long to get really strong. I don't understand why you don't see more weightlifters and stuff as brick layers?

Full body is fine providing you don't stick to the same order of muscle groups. For instance if you start with chest, then arms, back, core then legs, by the time you get to legs you will be tired and not putting in enough effort. So day two you need to reverse the order start with legs and end with bench and so on. Mix it again on day three perhaps start with core and end with arms.

Crossfit is mainly full body workouts and those folks are strong fit and look amazing without isolation training. perhaps if you're not a body builder, full body workouts and things like crossfit where the weight and intensity is always set for your real functional movements vs trying regular workouts without the knowledge that bodybuilders or trainers would have.

I have been training all my life, and now at 62, I am still making great gains. I train full body, 5 days per week. It works better for me than any other training routine that I have done. I keep exercises to a minimum and never train to failure.

So, as a newbie or reaching intermediate, full body is not necessary? Or better said, won't make much of a difference? I'm doing PPL but been considering going Full Body X4 or X5 per week. Would it still give me gains?

I've been doing it for 2 weeks. It's fantastic. I don't know how long the gains will progress or if I'll burn out soon but for now it's great. Not sure how long the gains will keep coming but right now, wow. Whodathunk!
