Albert Einstein once said, If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. And while the art and science of getting jacked can be very intricate with many moving parts, we must take the time to periodically identify the core basics that bring us the majority of our gains. Not only will this keep us focused on what matters most, but it will stop us from chasing new fades, hacks, or shortcuts that ultimately end up costing us in the end. When it comes to weight training to get jacked, we've scrutinized various movements and have identified the top five exercises you need to look jacked. If you make these movements the bread and butter of your weight training and focus on progression over time, you'll have a muscular physique in no time

I think that this is a good starting point and contains exercises that are essential. It-s just hard hearing 4 upper body lifts and only 1 lower body lift. 3 of the lifts hit triceps, 1 being a pretty isolated exercise. I would-ve traded out dips for squats and then stuck the deadlift to normal in order to hit hamstrings. That would-ve made a more balanced 5 exercises. That being said top 7 would really do it justice; your original five plus squats and curls.

I find it hard to believe that 4 out of 5 exercises here are for the upper body. Squats (even dumbbell box squats) will build more than legs. No way can a weak back and shoulders support a 400lb squat - or walking lunges with 20kg dumbbells. If you train using hard exercises you will LOOK LIKE you train hard exercises.

This video WAS NOT what I was expecting. I was expecting these top 5 exercises:
1. Deadlift
2. Squat
3. Chest Press
4. Military Press
5. Lat Pull-Down/Pull-up
Bonus: Bent-over Row

Old man top five-heavy rack pulls, neck flex, calf raises, hammer curls, over head press, and for cherry on top farmer walk. I know it-s six but the farmers are more for overall health /cardio.

This is all very technical! Everyone is different so just lift the damn weights with consistency and eating the correct food and you will soon see improvements.

Question: You mentioned loading your feet with a dumbbell on the dip. Would wearing a fairly heavy weight vest accomplish the same goal? Thanks in advance!
