Need a leg workout to put on some serious MASS? Let's get after it! Sets/Reps: Split Squat - 4 Sets / 15 Reps Each Stiff Legs - 4 Sets / 30, 30, 20, 20 Hip Thrusts - 4 Sets / 20 Front Squat SS Walking Lunges - 3 Sets / 15 Reps on Squat + 20 Steps per side Today was about getting back to basics and doing all of the hardest exercises you can possible do. Some of the big take aways is that even if you don't have a ton of weight to use, you can still enhance any lift by slowing it down, holding the stretch and changing how you contract the muscle

Your videos on muscle training have made the difference in that before I went to the gym to -workout-. Now I go to the gym to work out with -purpose-. Before I hit the gym to work a body part, I hit your vids and take a few of those movements to incorporate into the routine. Time under tension, squeezing the muscle and holding it a few seconds, positive/negative movement done slowly really make the weight feel heavier because the muscles are working all the time and not just on the -push or pull- alone. Thanks a lot Ryan.

Okay, so I did this workout with a few variations because 225 IS heavy. I was lucky after those walking lunges to be able to walk up the stairs from my garage. There are only two stairs. Then I had to go to work. After the 10 minute drive to work, I was actually a little nervous to get out of the car, I was afraid my legs would not carry me. Ha! In the end, I made it! Which I feel is a real accomplishment. Today my legs hurt and that workout was two days ago. Thanks for bringing it Ryan, you're an asshole. It was awesome!

As an ex-sprinter, I used to kinda' love leg day. Thinking I was vegan, D. O. M. S was a thing of the past. Since adopting these exercises and the training routines instructed, I can say, hand on my heart, I don't enjoy my leg workouts. a better way to say it, I survive my leg works. just. But in 12 weeks, I've increased leg size and strength from 23- up to 25- and about 25%. Thanks Ryan, now the only pants that fit are my cargoes. I'm officially chafing in my sleep. Ha!

Okay, but what If I go cycling with a 42lb mountain bike up a 400ft steep climb on a road. And I also have a 20lb backpack. If repeated could I get bigger legs? It's technically strength training. I am struggling to push 62lbs up a hill including my bodyweight which is 148lb. Will this get me bigger and thicker legs? I could probably use one of my more rugged backpacks and have an extra 20lb more.

Ryan. I have a question. I rarely do lunges. and I do want to do them, but I had both of my big toes fused so they can-t bend. I have to use sneakers or boots do to the pain. Is it ok to lung on the top side of my trailing foot? My other problem is balance. I have strong legs but my Knees hurt. Any suggestions?

I purchased Versa Grips two weeks ago at the suggestion of Renaissance Periodization to replace standard wrist straps and used them for the first time last week. I was aiming for a 300lb deadlift PR that day and they made gripping the bar so easy and solid! Made the PR that day!

After years of lifting, training and certifications I have learned that the duality of a this niche world of fitness Is that it is a subjective science --

I did your leg workout the other day. Literally almost passed out and went into the corner of the gym with a Gatorade, emphasis on gay, and cried.
I saw this video, and I waited 3 days before I finally watched it.

Dude i am on Romanian deadlifts and my body is dead. Dont understand how he can do hip thrusters and front squats after. Practice practice practice.
I do 315 on squat 10 times no problem but this workout killed.
