4 Tricep Exercises (YOU SHOULD BE DOING)

Ready for bigger triceps? Last night I hit the gym and pulled out a few different tricep variations that you can add to your routine. My goal is to give you slightly different tweaks on exercises you already love. As always

You do know that the elbow is a single hinge joint design where any twist of the wrist does little to none relative to the tricep since all heads are attaced to the ulna which as noted before the humeroulna joint is a hinge joint with 1 degree of freedom. twisting of the wrist only affect those muscles that cross humuroulnar joint and extend the elbow which is the anconius but once again it too attaches to the fixed ulna so the position of the wrist has no effect. The ONLY way the position of the wrist could affect the triceps would be two: One - if this wrist movement changed the position of the humerus relative to the scapula in which case it could potentially (but very minor) cause a length change in the long head of the triceps but as noted minimal difference at best. Two - Pronation and supination of the wrist can cause length changes in the extensor carpi radialis and extensor carpi ulnaris which caan increase or decrease the isolation of the triceps in elbow extension but the force change is so minimal as to say non-existant with the biggest problem being the wrist would need to be fully supinated to isolate the tricep in the motion and total weight used would be drastically reduced as the force need to challenge the triceps would be severly limited by the force produced to maintain the wrist position unless you maintained the wrist flexed furthering the lengthening of the aforementioned increasing their strength: length ratio at forced wrist flexion.

2 things that I don't agree with in this video are 1) Locking out your elbow on any tricep exercise = you messed up and 2) Shortening the range of motion and not fully contracting the tricep. So, if I fully lockout my elbow, does that mean every single rep that I performed the way you say to do it, but with the full lockout, now mean that it was just a waste of time and energy and won't do anything for me? Secondly, research pretty consistently demonstrates that a full range of motion, ie: a full stretch under load and full contraction under load, yields a greater hypertrophic stimulus and encourages better muscle growth. The exercises are good but the methodology is certainly flawed.

Question:
With overhead Tricep extensions using the rope/ triangle my triceps don't seem to be the limiter. I feel as though it's Tricep impingements and or a loss of circulation to my arms that prevent me from continuing.
Any advice or anyone else experiencing this same phenomenon?

Loving the workout Ryan! -
I literally just posted a video going over some points on TRICEPS LATERAL HEAD Isolation. Would love to hear your thoughts on it if you have a minute to check it out? Thanks man, really appreciate that! Keep up the amazing work! -

I don't want to watch anyone else's videos now. Ryan is a really good teacher and he's very clear with the -Do's & Don'ts- of each exercise. What I love most about his videos is that he shows the exercise at different camera angles! And he's funny AF!

how can pushing blood to a muscle be part of a methodology when its an autonomous anatomical reaction to a muscle being worked. there's no method to this, it's literally just what happens lol vasoconstriction and vasodilation for ya'll.
