#1 Reason Why You're NOT Building Muscle

going over what I think is the number 1 reason that holds people back from building muscle and making serious gains. hint, it's you're fault. --NEW Oumar: -If your hormones are off, you go see a doctor- - true. Although I think this sentence might be misunderstood by some for seeing a doctor to actually look for medication, while first you might want to adjust and optimize the factors that actually influence your hormone levels: stress, sleep, diet. Then you look for health conditions. Of course, it also depends what you do mean by -off-. If off means the natural way how hormone levels change with age (eg. testosterone production declines) then you probably have to make a choice based on analyzing what do you want to achieve and if you know the context and risks of TRT - and with risks I now refer to logistical risks: what if due to geopolitical or other external factors you cannot guarantee yourself to have always access to TRT. Of course it is a valid choice to go on TRT (or whatever hormone you might want to regulate, either you define natural changes as -off-, or you have a genetic/health condition that messes up your hormone levels.

Just a heads up on the ''work to failure'' concept. I completely agree you should push yourself HARD when you are at the gym. If you walk away without a sweat that day didnt count. But i would also heavily advice proper rest, as in longer rest periods that makes you recover completely. If you push your muscles every second day 365 days a year you will grow but your muscles also never fully heal, nor will you push yourself as hard. Its like putting half a tank of gas in a car and expect it to go for as many miles as a fully loaded car, or plug 2 pistons and expect no difference. The potential is there but you dont have enough fuel or mechanical endurance to apply the same force.
I see ALOT of videos about working out and pushing the limit, but few of them enforce rest properly. Those who get into a good routine are likely to fail since they just end up hitting a wall of 0 energy.

I have lifted my whole life. I remember watching my dad lift in our basement when I was about 4 years old. One of my earliest memories. My dad taught me how to lift very early. So I've grown up knowing HOW lifting is done. But only recently have I really grasped that Dorian Yates type of mindset. When I was younger I'd go to the gym and get all my movements with 4 sets 8-10 reps each. But I never had that mind muscle connection. Maybe it's just because my mind is more mature and I understand it more. Or maybe I've just finally become demented enough. But now I try to get that muscle achy, burn by rep 8, and then squeeze out 4 or 5 more reps. I love it. We truly are effed up. But I've noticed more progress since I've started doing that.

#1 reason is you don't use steroids. All the other beyond natural looking gym bros. are. That's why those cunts can eat way more than 2000 calories a day and train at beyond reasonable intensity. The testosterone allows for huge gains and great recovery. But it's all temporary. Temporary in that when you stop using gear, you shrink right back to where you were pre-cycle. If you stay on like most bro cunts do, say goodbye to your own ability to produce any testosterone. You will have to use for life to keep those -gains-. If you stop after being on for years eyou'll have the natural testosterone production of an old woman.

As always I am thinking long term. These high intensity workouts aren't bad for your health? Your heart has to grow to keep up with the work. Later on when you become 60+ you won't be able to do as much as you did in your 20's but your heart will be the same largened size which can cause high blood pressure which is highly correlated with a headache. I know that the workout itself it can be self-recognition, a challenge, discovering your true potential or any other reason but if someone prefers health over unnatural looks I do not think that this is the right path. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Because most people lift and don't use steroids! To get really big, and you can ask anyone with size like the Rock or others, huge guys use Tren, DBall/Dianabol and for lean muscle Anavar with Estrogen blockers! Stop lying! By looking at this video it looks pretty obvious you have 9/10 times used steroids at some point in your life! No matter how hard a guy trains he will never get Arnold, Stallone, or Rock gains without steroids and even more so over age 40! This video is absolute BS because you're a liar. End of story!

I always get myself stuck in this rut of where I've put on weight and one day I realise I'm a fat and I'll go on a diet to shed it. I've always been great a loosing weight. But the real struggle for me is when I've hit my goal and I now want to go back up in weight but with muscle.
I just have it stuck in my head that if I start eating a surplus of calories, I'm just going to get fat again. So, I end up with some muscle definition, but I never get as big as I want to, because I'm afraid to consume too many calories.

Cool story bro. Some of us can't afford to get hurt, literally$$ because we need some physical activity for our job. ( Ewww! What a salty little cunt I am for writing that) But seriously being 50 and working in oil field means I have to mitigate risks. Mostly tendons and back. My solution is very light weight( A can of white claw works, full can of course) And high reps. 100 plus on some exercises. FYI my solution sucks and gains are slow. I need a good mid life crisis to nut up or something.

I like Ryan. His delivery and humour is on point and whilst jovial he's obviously very knowledgeable. I've said it before on previous videos I thought I knew it all, I'd have 100% said I pushed myself to the limit etc etc. Truth is - I wasn't. So I've sponged off of his videos for the past couple of weeks - lost feeling in body parts like never before and made weights my mother was warming up with feel heavy AF! So just decided to stop sponging and signed up to the programme! Keep it up Ryan!

I want to be able to work out like this with great intensity. However, unfortunately my asshole easily gets blown out from taking multiple apocalyptic dumps each day due to my severe chronic IBS. And if I force my body to strain overdoing it in the gym then I'm definitely going to regret it. There are two injuries that you can sustain easily that will totally incapacitate you. A jacked-up lower back and a blown-out asshole. Unfortunately I have both. what can I do?
