Veganism aside, what is really the benefit of keto over just having proper macros (e. g. getting your 1g of protein per pound of body weight and then the rest a healthy balance of carbs and fat? If keto allowed you to magically ignore the calorie in to calorie out ratio, i'd be all about it, but you STILL have to track that AND be super anal about your carbs. I've done it, but it's exhausting and I burned out on it VERY quickly. I made it a whopping 3 months. Seems MUCH more efficient to just focus on making sure you get the protein you need, eating clean, and counting calories. Counting carbs on top of that and making sure you get even condiments that are 0 sugar and all that jazz is just too much work, I think. But if there's some magic benefit I'm not seeing, I would love to know about it, and I mean that sincerely, not being sarcastic

Howdy Ryan, I enjoy your vids, there informative, funny & short. I was a vegatarian for 14 years, 8 as a lacto/ovo(milk & eggs protein sources, and 6 as a strict vegan, ( grains and legumes & nuts for protein sources). I was managing a fitness center and training a few guys, who ate the typical american diet, and they got bigger and stronger, I got strong too, but I never put on any mass like they did. untill I went back to eating milk & eggs. I tried pea protein, but that stuff acts like having concrete in your intestines. Plus if you only eat one source of macro nutrient. you will develop tachyphylaxis, where the receptor sites decrease in efficiency of absorbsion,

I feel like this is exactly what I need and I'm praying that this is the right diet for me. I have tried so many diet vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan, Keto, fruitarian and many others. I know my body does not like high sugar items even if it's fruit sugar due to my hypoglycemia. I have other health issues one of which I am in remission for. I would like to get rid of my hypothyroidism and hypoglycemia as well as any PTSD symptoms. Yes I'm hoping that diet will help fix most of my problems. I don't like eating animals at all I've been doing the keto diet with eggs and tuna and don't feel right morally.

I dont know if this has happened to anyone else but back when I was vegan I bought that Naked Pea protein and went hard on it. After a few days I noticed I wasn't going #2 anymore or if I did manage to to it was just a little. By time I stopped taking the protein my intestines had completely shut down and I was hospitalized in the Denton, TX hospital. I don't know why that protein did that to me but it was the worst experience of my life and I'm still paying off that hospital bill 4 years later.

I liked your videos until I realized your vegan. I do not have a problem with someone going vegan. It is so much better than the SAD. But the vegan cult spreading misinformation about consuming animals and killing the planet drives me nuts. If you have a heart for cows and don't want to kill them, that's great! But don't think you are saving the planet by going vegan.

coconut oil, olive oil, and palm oil ARE omega 6s! Why not use walnut oil, flax oil, hemp, chia, seaweeds, and edamame?
. So hard to be vegan without soy. black soy being the lowest carb bean.
I was looking at a company called veganpure, which does a keto protein powder, looked like a good product.
PS If someone ever steals your arms it was probably me; -)

How awesome you are Ryan! Nothing more wonderful to see a super fit -man- living and promoting the vegan/vegan keto diet and just as importantly you are ethical and caring and don-t shy away from just being a beautiful human being caring for animals (other living beings) too and let-s not forget that a vegan lifestyle also helps the environment! Great work!

Didn't expect you to be vegan. Classic case of, -don't judge a book by its cover-. I've been vegetarian for 35+ years, but always struggled with veganism because of cheese. :) The vegan cheeses I've tried so far are terrible. Where I find a non-milk food that is good I always pick it, but that last step is really hard. Well done you. You're an inspiration.

Well I been doing keto for 9 years and last year felt prompted to start vegan. I did and loved it, so I am that keto guy doing vegan - I love keto it helped me so much but I felt in love with vegan. I-m making my life harder - I been doing both. But I will adjust my diet and do it right Thanks for the information. Y

Ryan, I am not a vegan. Never even tried being a vegetarian. But I-ll like to give your recommended diet a 60-day trial. Would you mind recommending one? Given that I am currently repeating week 1 of your 30-day workout plan. So good was the effect I decided to repeat week 1. -
