It's completely normal to hit a weight loss plateau, or a plateau in anything that you are working towards. THATS OKAY! That means that you're still trying, and I'm going to tell you today how you can either get out of that plateau or use it to build resilience and joy in your journey. I once saw this paper towel analogy that really allowed me to realize that there is more to it than just patience. The work in you is happening, you just can't see it yet! Keep going, keep pushing yourself daily and you will see results in the right time. Nothing ever worth having comes easy, so stay true to yourself and your journey. I'm right here with you! Quick question. I am currently working with a nutritionist/dietitian due to over exercising and bad relationship with food. I am 5'4 currently 144 pounds at 33 years old I'm walking to get to 130 and she thinks I should be doing 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week along with 2 full body strength days a week which before I did more strength training. I'm feeling skinny fat again bc of the cardio. I used to be a cardio bunny and feel her wanting me to do all that cardio is counter productive and I also get 10000 steps a day so what's your thoughts on all that cardio I feel I should do more strength and not full body workouts not my fav

this video is something everyone should watch. I have an eating disorder and i try to get healthy habits, build muscle and eat better. The working out part is easier than the eating part for me sadly. But this motivates me to try and stay focused! Somehow eating gets difficult when i workout. I don't feel hunger, so i have to force myself to eat. You describe this whole process so well and using a clothing item to see results is the best for me! Your workouts are amazing and i do them every single day. I feel like i need to do them, because it makes me feel so good and that feeling i need right now!

I did my very first Grow with Jo workout today - (walking one. I used to be a dancer, but now pregnancy and resulting pelivc damage ruined exercising for me. I finally found a low impact workout that made me sweat and feel great. Thank you so much, Jo. I have about 10 kgs to go - i have never managed to drop more than 4-5 of those (with much difficulty) and when im stressed, up the weight goes again. I hope that i am able to stay consistent and continue working out like this.
Im doing your Bounce - Forward workouts from Monday. fingers crossed!
Much love!

the time I heard you say that my body composition might be changing which is not visible on my scale - HAVE YOU BEEN STALKING ME! This was the exact motivation I needed to keep going. My scale is not showing any difference since a couple days, but whenever I meet people, they're always like, yUH l0oK SSssllLiIiIIIMm, but I wasn't convinced as the scale was the same and got demotivated. Thanks a ton ma'am! I hope you know that you are making our lives better.
Have a nice day!

This is not only funny it is so true. I can remember when I started and I was struggling by being consistent I am not doing 10 miles and I've lost 18lbs. I have 30 more to go but I know I'm going to make it. I like the advise of measuring myself instead of look at the scale. I'm going to now incorporate weight training to get my muscle in shape. I use to be a body builder so I know what to do. I can't wait.

Thank you for this video- I started to workout again (I'm a week in) and I noticed I gained a pound or two. I still eat healthy (I food journal) and drink 8+ glasses of water per day. I started to feel discouraged a little, but my husband notices the changes already. I'm going to continue my workouts and watching this video was something I needed.

Thank you for this. Just started working out a few weeks ago and feeling discouraged today about slow progress. I track all my calories so I know I'm in a deficit but I wonder if maybe I'm doing too much HIIT and this is causing too much stress on my body. I may move away from HIIT to more of your walk it out workouts

I have been working out for a couple of months now and been on a deficit but I stopped loading fat (i just wanna lose lower belly fat) and your question about feeling challenged made me find a new perspective! I'm definitely not feeling tired of challenged after some workouts! I will definitely try yours now!

Thank You so much for this piece of info\advice. I'm right now on a plateau with respect to my weight although I've been challenging myself with your workouts everyday. But now I'm gonna measure myself and see if I'm gaining muscle and losing inches. You are just awesome! You've kept me highly motivated!
