What is your opinion on doing this at a Pullover maschine?
There is more tension at the end of the exerciese, as the maschine pulls backwards and not downwards like gravity does, but i feel like there is a little less stretch and definitely less core work and stabilisation.

I like doing dumbbell pullovers as well. One thing I've always wondered: why not just lay flat on the bench? I do that at home and really feel no difference. Is it a safety thing? Or am I missing out on various aspects of the muscle groups this way?

To make this lean more towards chest activation squeeze your hands together on the dumbbell like you tryna make your elbows touch each other. Adduction (bringing the arm across the body) is a major function of the chest.

if you are doing a body part split (I recommend you don't) but if you are then put this on both back and chest day at the end as a finisher or at the beginning to prep you for the big lifts

I feel like I'm doing this exercise wrong. I feel discomfort in my back and shoulders. And only very slight or no benefits at all to my chest.

I've found this to be easier on the wrists if done with a wide handled kettlebell, grabbing it from the outside of the handle on both sides.
