Best beginners gym workout routine 2020 - day 2 - Buff Dudes Locken: after trying day 1 it was the most sore I ever was, it was like a new level of soreness, it was almost painful in a way. I'm no stranger to general soreness. It felt like my body was telling me to rest, I wish I could've went back the day after my rest day, but the pain persisted. My plan is to go whenever my body still feels sore, but not when it's at that same weird level of soreness, and hopefully after a few weeks I can actually stick to the work a day, rest a day, work a day schedule.
Is this a bad idea or am I right to listen to my body for now? Should I just try to push through that feeling next time? I could barely pick up my 6 month old. lol
Also the past 4 years my activity levels have been pretty much non-existent e. g sitting at my pc. Appreciate anyone who can answer.

These guys are so down to earth and realistic. Pull-ups: they totally understand beginners will have a lot of trouble. I-m at 240, down 10 from 250, and my big long term goal is to be able to do a reasonable amount of pull-ups. I could do a handful back in high school when I was 200 working out regularly and playing football, but I-ve never done 3x10 or anything. One day (at some point this year)

Buff dude squad, I've bought the program and am currently following it but i have a question about pull ups.
I'm 6'2, 185 lbs and about 10-12% bf, yet i'm only able to do 2 pull ups in a row even with your tips about the scapula and everything.
I've been doing bodyweight pull ups for years but i can't seem to do more.
Would you suggest maybe trying weighted pull ups?

I am 42 and just can-t do a pull up or dip. Of course I couldn-t do one in 6th grade either. The day in gym when the teacher was counting our pull ups was the day I realized I am out of shape and fat. Proceeded to eat more after that and became very depressed. My goal is to do a pull up. I am afraid I am too old however.

I bought the book it-s arriving tomorrow meanwhile I-m doing the 5x5 but I feel like I could do it everyday or at less 5 times a week is it bad or should keep doing it for 1 or 2 months I am getting a lot stronger I-ve been doing it for like 2 weeks and I already lift more than when I started

okay I have a question, I can't do dead hang pullups yet, but at 5: 00 or around you say to do pull up negatives -where you jump into position and slowly let yourself down-. Thing is; I can't really let myself down, cos If there's one person I know who won't let me down, it's me. .. ('_')

I know you wont see this since its an old video and you have way too much to do, however i have to thank you for these 3 Beginner workout routines you have released. I adjusted them to my level and they work like a charm. Helped a lot, thanks!

My back goes into a u shaped position every time I try a deadlift. I was taught to activate my core and squeeze my glutes and have neutral chest and shoulders. Is there something else I should be doing?

Hi Im new to the gym and you said that this is a good prep phase? Can I do this as my main workout to progress on or should i try to find a different one for long term? -buffDudesWorkouts
