I comment on your videos all the time. As I always say your videos as a personal trainer and developing a good workout routine for my clients. Today though this video help me in my own personal goals. I always found it embarrassing that I suck at doing pull-ups. I always had better lower body strength than I do upper-body. I especially like the part where you said don't focus on improving the strength, but rather the mobility. I also like the 28th pull up variations. As always thank you Cori.

Great explanation. important note, muscle activation of specific muscle groups.
As a medical engineer, in my opinion I do not suggest pull ups for warm ups or preworkouts. Because you are lifting a heavier part of you. Since, rotator cuffs are involved it will cause shoulder impingement if it's worked as a preworkouts. Not good for beginners in my opinion.

My pullup progression got sidetracked by golfer's elbow from pushing too hard. Recovering now using a Theraband flexbar, the only therapy I found effective. I like the video, I like that you show the studies that back up what you say. Helps to separate out the trainers that know what they are talking about. -

Hi, I'm your Chinese fan. I don't know how I hurt my left pac muscle from pull up probably last Monday. Now I feel pain(not strong ) when I just do the hanging. I mainly feel pain when I do the left arm horizontal adduction. I don't feel pain in any push movements. Could you give me some advice?

Hi, you look awesome and expect nothing but good from your videos. I have an issue with my gripe itself. I had carpal tunnel surgery years ago. I drop things so often and I am afraid to try a pull up. My gripe isn-t what it use to be. Any advise would be great, thanks.

3: 45 etc. is a really amazing insight. And it explains why some people (including myself) struggle with pullups, but do quite well in pull downs or rowing.
However, i love pullups when the workout is done. But i hate them when i am hanging on the bar. --

Love this video as it really shows off your muscle activation. I have fairly good back muscle development and I think activation BUT a pull-up still eludes me. I am a PT but think at the grand old age of 56 I may just have to accept IT will never happen: (

Ouch! Thanks soooooooo much. I love this video! U rock girl! It took me 4 months to finally able to do my 1st pull-up & it was 2 years ago. I love doing pull-up - gym bc not many women can do pull-up & it gives me motivation to get better on this.

According to your video my pull up technique seems to be correct. But ever since my skateboard wipeout, my left elbow always starts to hurt a few hours after doing pull ups. Great video, Coach! Thank you.

I thnk it still after pull ups, it doesn't matter the technique you still might feel some neck soreness. it's just the nature of the animal, 70 % of -that pull-. the neck contract
