The Bent Over Row (AVOID These mistakes) When you-re doing a bent over row, what do you feel working? Do you feel your lower back or neck becoming irritated? Or your biceps fatiguing? Or do you actually feel your upper back and lats powering the pull? All too often, because of mobility restrictions and a lack of scapular control, we end up not getting the full benefit of this amazing back exercise. That-s why I wanted to share 3 tips to dial in your Bent Over Row form so you can really target your back and not end up with annoying little aches and pains

I never do this, or any lifting of weights above my head. and my physique is like that of a 25 year old. can I truly get away from doing this - I just think there's too much that can go wrong, and as a full time office worker almost 60, I'm kinda playing it safe. but instead I do basic curls, upright rows, push ups (tighten scapula during this range of movement, kayaking, knee lifts and dips on the olympic rings, boxing, cycling, running (400m, and 1km intervals, skipping, reverse dips, crunches, some swimming, and that covers most of it for the week. It's now been 9 months since my THR.

Great video. What would you recommend for someone who's afraid to do deadlifts again after suffering a back injury from doing them previously? I don't mean just alternative exercises but also what exercises would you recommend for -fixing- the weak core, spine or erectors that contributed to the deadlift injury? How would I go about making the foundation stronger first before returning to the deadlift?

Excellent tips. By using the rowing machine you have in the corner and by using it to demonstrate the shoulder hang part of the stroke your tips go into action! The back tips you give are right on in this regard. Remember the Rowing Machine demonstrates what it wants for Legs, Back and Arms. Nice job Lady.

Sadly, many female body builders have gotten breast implants. They are toxic and can lead to many diseases, auto-immune disease, tissue thinning, cancer, contracture, leaking and hardness. Hoping you didn-t get them. I had them years ago and went through hell and finally had them removed.

That's a big problem for me. Since I have scoliosis in my back and it's moderate - it's destroyed my ability to achieve proper thoracic extension. I've done much of what's discussed here but no real luck. TY Cori for the informative video - well done.

Awesome video. Learn from this, ESPECIALLY if you sit at a desk all day!
If I knew this stuff before I'd still have two functioning rotator cuffs (weak scapula and lower traps failing to keep my should in place.

I do the Les Mills Body Pump workout in a group setting and see so many different styles in how the bent-over row is being done - everyone in the class should be watching this video. Thanks for doing it.

The combo of chucks w/ the grey tank over the purple tank) is hot AF. And that's coming from someone who respects you for your knowledge and has chastised others for similar comments.
