So regarding Navy Seal Mentality, I immediately think of Jocko Willink. His attitude towards working out has helped me keep going. He really emphasises that you make the change today and that you will get stronger by simple things like hiking or walking and that you just have to keep going. Another really important thing for me is that even though I stick to my diet, I try to work out in a mindset where I just enjoy moving my body and getting stronger and being flexible and functional rather than doing it only for losing weight. I also used to think -oh I haven't got enough time to train as much as I wanted to so why train at all- but now I'm often thinking -well than you'll just do this 20min workout cause it's better than nothing-. I'm someone who really struggles to see this -better than nothing- because I'm too frustrated that I can't do what I planned to do but I'm getting better with that. Regarding losing weight I've often felt really stuck like I just wasn't losing any weight when I actually was, I just couldn't see it immediately. So when I was about to quit my diet, I used to tell myself, well you'll just go on exactly like this, dieting and working out like you are for one more month and then you'll reconsider quitting or changing something. After a month or two of maintaining my routines I did see progress again. That's something that's helped me on that journey in particular. I still struggle with not beating myself up over eating something I didn't wanna eat but before, this would make me quit whereas now, I do feel shitty, I'm not gonna lie, but it doesn't keep me from going on, anymore.

I really felt like I was stagnating in terms of weight loss and body change. I didn't feel as good as I did a couple of weeks ago and was questioning everything.
That changed quickly after I got very nice compliments from three of my colleagues today. They didn't even ask if I had lost weight, they directly said that it's obvious and it looks good on me (they all hadn't seen me in a while. I didn't even think it was that obvious because I've only lost like 4-5 kg, but I guess I was wrong. This definitely gave me a massive motivation boost.
So hang in there guys, it's worth it!

I've been working out for 8 weeks doing body weight training and cardio, I took my progress body measurements yesterday and I had gained cm's on my arms and thighs and it completely crushed me. I felt like I had been working really really hard and was anticipating seeing smaller measurements. Then I had to remember that I've lost one size in Jean's and my clothes fit a bit more baggy. - Please keep going, results and progress don't always show up in the areas you expect!

I love when you share the thoughts and mindset that you've had or sometimes currently have along your journey! More often than not, it hits the nail on the head and I am again reassured that I am not the only one feeling discouraged at times and that it's all okay and that I'm usually in a better spot than I think I am.

Thank you for this video, this is my long life self motivation battle. I am listening to this while I'm going on my walk to get out of the down feeling state and lift my mood a bit. Thanks again. Awesome job. I believe in you too! --

I've been seeing some weird shadows on your background 4: 37 and also on your other videos. I've been binge watching your videos lately and always see something on the background. I hope I'm mistaken or maybe just a reflection.

You're such a positive person, it's refreshing to have someone discuss the reality of weight-loss and fitness.
Could you maybe do a video about the psychology of weight loss like emotion eating or binge eating?

Been coming down with something but mommy never gets a break, so yeah, I binged half a package of Oreos and an entire season of a show yesterday. But today, is a new day. Not getting stuck on yesterday, thanks girl.

I'm having a really great day myself (after realising that during the past month I've lost 7. 5 kg and nearly 10 cm in the waist, but I know someone who really needs to hear it this week! Thanks!

This is what I needed. Where I'm at, we back to level 4 lockdown. Anxiety has kicked, I feel like I'm not losing any weight. People around me are having amazing results. Thank you for this video
