Join Chris Heria as he Reacts To Shaolin Monk Skills. Check out the new Gen 3 Oura Ring for yourself with my link Nunnehi: You made me laugh so much but kept respect for the monks. Amazing video! Been following you for years! Your content truly always add value in some way-
As for Shaolin Monks from my limited knowledge, they mostly begin young as it's easier to develop flexibility when younger and to condition the mind and body from day 1 to feel no pain and to suppress emotions of pain and discomfort to the point where you feel no pain and are able to accomplish anything. Additionally, they begin to master their Qi at a young age. Qi is a very misunderstood concept and Qigong actually means mastering your breathing - sounds easy but is one of the most difficult things which monks train to achieve at an amazing level. They are truly incredible warriors.
Amazing video! Loved it

I lived and trained with them in Northern China for over a year. They are as insane as they seem in the videos and even more, I-ve witnessed a lot. I have to mention that the bricks they break are nothing like the solid bricks we have in the west. I manage to break 5 in a row once but my hands got all bloody and I could never have done it with only my index regardless, but yeah they break easier.
Another thing or course is that a lot of them are broken after a certain age(25 to 30s) and they just teach but their bodies are permanently injured. Still tho, even if they are injured and older their bodies can do superhuman shit guys. Best year and best training I ever had.

Before the introduction of guns in China, Shaolin monks trained for fighting survival and as a way of daily moving Zen practice. Where, -just accept the pain, then it will be gone afterwards-, and -real kungfu hard work has to be pushed out, to reach higher limits- kind of mentality. Also high level abbots have a type of hard Qigong to aid their physical body.

I-m sorry chris but you lost me when you said the ring was slim enough to train with. you should know you should never train with a ring on, that-s just not safe especially for these kids ur talking to, go do some muscle ups tell me how the ring is slim.

they strengthen their fingers at first by poking pine trees. theres videos and pictures of pine trees at the temple with holes in them and they asked them what it was from and they said it was from poking to strengthen fingers

I failed a frontflip on the grass like that too flat on my back in 4th grade I was like I bet I could do a frontflip my fried wad like no you can-t and I did and it hurt, how they purposely go on their back to concrete

Your muscles are easier to train when your younger, its like your prime. So you can train it before it gets to your max. If your a adult its a bit harder since your muscles are more built so you have to deal with that.

the reason they can snap bricks with their finger is because of iron fist training where you train your fingers to harden themselves and you can snap bricks

The slamming on ur back is something i learned from a wrestling coach, you learn to dissapate the impact on your body so it doesnt hurt or wind you.

couldnt like every rock climber do pushups on one finger? they do pullups on just fingertips all the time so pushup is just oposite
