Great video! I love how happy you get talking about Texas haha. As a Texan and fellow traveler, there is so much to do in Texas. Im not sure if youve explored West Texas much, but I definitely recommend staying at El Cosmico in Marfa, hiking at Big Bend National Park (Boquillas Canyon Trail is my favorite - its right along the Rio Grande River and the other side is Mexico, Monahans Sandhills State Park, and Guadalupe Mountains National Park! Also on the Gulf Coast, Padre Island National Seashore is amazing and so is Port Aransas! Biplane Rides over Mustang Beach is a MUST! In the Panhandle, Palo Duro Canyon State Park is incredible and you have to do the Lighthouse Trail! I live in the Hill Country and its the perfect spot for exploring Texas haha. Hope you like these recommendations!

Some things you should do on your day trip to Fredericksburg.
1. Johnson Ranch about 20 miles east of Fredericksburg.
2. Enchanted Rock State Park 15 miles north of Fredericksburg. 2nd largest granite monolith in the USA. Think Stone Mountain in pink and without the commercialism
3. Wimberly. On the way to Fredericksburg, but you'll need to make it a point to be there.
4. Caverns of Sonora. 80 miles west of Fredericksburg. Unbelievable formations. Easily the best cave I've ever seen.
5. Luckenbach. If you're in to country music, this is the place for you.
In fact, you need to plan to spend the night in Fredericksburg. Very cool place.

South Padre National Seashore. before the COVID had public sea turtle releases. It is a great place for Snow Birds. In opposition to Houston, it is less of a spaghetti bowl freeway with NO TOLLS. A good selection of small yet tasteful eateries. Many gastropubs with live music. Easy access centrally located. Good Texas folk. If drive to Mardi Gras there is one heck of a beach party and Parade on Padre Island! The timing allows you to party HERE and then HOUSTON and get to New Orleans!

Fredricksburg is the birthplace of Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz. That's why the National Museum of the Pacific War is there. There's a lot to learn there!
I don't think Nimitz gets nearly enough credit for his leadership in WW2. That guy had to manage an almost impossible set of pressures during the war. (Yes, Eisenhower did too. Though he didn't have to manage MacArthur constantly trying to eat at his command)

Hey world. Everything this guy just said is spot on accurate. He hit every high point of the places he mentioned. The good stuff. No omissions. He's really good. Bucees (New Braunfels) is so cool. I hate that I like it so much but they have everything and it's so well run. Good bathrooms, lots of food and where you get gas if you're in the area.

I live in Arizona and recently visited San Antonio and DFW recently and absolutely loved it. Went to the Riverwalk, Buc-ees, H-E-B, Stockyards in Fort Worth, Perot Museum, and the JFK Memorial. Much love for Texas hoping to visit Austin next for the Nightlife and Live Entertainment.

I think I understand the reason why you decided to film with that building in the backdrop for your Dallas location: because that brick building almost has a euro inspired type of architectural design to it at 7: 20. at least it kind of looks like it to me!

Ottos German Bistro in Fredericksburg is a must, gotta make reservations though and its expensive but worth every penny. Also New Braunfels is Mid Size City not a small town so if you want that real German vibe definitely head out to Fredericksburg.

Here for the Europe content but I appreciate seeing a video on my home state. Houston traffic does suck! Almost as miserable as our summer heat.
