We've been to the Faroes twice. Absolutely stunning. Love the people, love the food, love the sheep, love the scenery, love the one-way tunnels, undersea tunnels, off-roading. Atlantic Airways is awesome - I love that everyone on the plane usually knows each other, and they're all super friendly to tourists. Stepping off the plane onto the tarmac and breathing that fresh air - there's nothing like it. It's beautiful any time of year since it stays pretty temperate - even in winter. I almost don't want to tell people about it because relatively low tourism numbers compared to somewhere like Iceland are part of the charm haha.
We were planning a trip this fall to go a third time, but found out that our favorite restaurant was doing a pop-up in Greenland, so we went there instead. Also an amazing place to visit (and Air Greenland is a fantastic airline with some awesome airports) but we'll be back to the Faroes in the next couple of years, I'm sure.
We even tried to move there, but the Danish govt recently enacted a law that requires doctors to speak Danish - even though they don't speak Danish on the Faroes, the rule still applies. Huge bummer.

Another beautiful place: Great Skellig, beautiful scenery but Im not keen on the boat ride myself.
Hiking where you are reminds me of the phrase - Nine months of winter and three months of bad sledding. Im glad to see you two are healthy and still sharing your adventures. Maybe you could get a ride in a F/A-18F with the Blue Angels?

Wowzers! Beautiful. the mechanic in me automatically wonders: how they get that much potable water? Do they have electric generating plants? What about sewer? Trash? Gasoline & diesel car parts & mechanics. I'd bet that recycling is extremely necessary & nobody wastes food.
Anyways. great vid. makes me want to visit there.

Spent a week this summer on the Faroe Islands it is by far one of the most breathtaking in all of Europe!
If you are a Lighthouse lover like I am be sure to visit Kalsoy Island to Kallur Lighthouse it is by far 'otherworldly' the hike was steep very windy but worth it all in the end!
I hope to visit one day again!

Great, honest review Flew the in the exact same business cabin two weeks ago and to my dismay the quality of the seats were really bad - felt like sitting on a cheap air mattress you get staying over at frenemies. and no place to store glasses, phones etc. Do NOT recommend! Fly Finnairs new business class instead!

You are branching out, obviously. Great video. I have no right to offer criticism, but I will anyway at my age. and I hope you can appreciate it. Jeb. You are a fantastic narrator. Do what you want. This was unusual to what I signed up for. but you are so good at it. I wish you the very best. That's my critique.

Stunning, really stunning. In regards to the last part of the video. I actually told my wife the same thing a few days ago, we were at a concert, she was recording it, watching the whole thing on her screen. I told her to put away the phone and just enjoy the show, on the way back to the hotel she thanked me.

My friend is dead now. A old man. He was born here and as a small boy he learned the sea. He and his dad were fishing in a small boat and a fast hard storm almost killed them as they ran for their life. Welcome to the ocean. He traveled his whole life. WW2 was a blip. I miss you old friend.

Visited Iceland a few years ago. It was the most scenic and beautiful countries I have ever visited. Renting a car is a must. And driving the ring road was amazing. I have always wanted to visit the Faroe Islands and do some hiking. Any advice on how to plan a trip there.

i am very happy that you are respectable tourists that follow the paths while hiking, couse in the faroe islands we had to lockdown an island for tourists couse the grassy ground was turning into mud making sheep unable to eat in the area.

Lovely video, always nice to see someone else's perspective on my (former) home: ) Two small things, though: we don't fish for salmon, we farm it; and your population data is a bit out of date, as it passed 54 thousand in August: )

Gorgeous islands. That scenery is way beyond what I've ever seen. And that from a screen. How is it when I will see that scenery with my own eyes! Only you and Susan will know that. Thank you for this trip.

These islands had no gov't. When Den. gave in to Ger. In WW2 since Den. claims them there was no gov't. My friend was born there and the War put him in America. I later got his old car

I've visited Faroe Islands 3 times in the past year because me and family fell in love with the island chain on our first trip we arrived during their whale hunting festival.

I love that you take us to these exotic destinations. This and your St. Helena videos are my favorite. Rick Steves has nothing on you guys. Please do more like these.

I like how he mentions the title no time to die when he shows a clip where my friend's grave is visible (He recently fell off the mountain close to where the grave is)

What a bunch of stunning landscapes, indeed unique in the world. Iceland is similar in its uniqueness of landscapes and also the Four seasons in one day experience

Incredible views! I've seen a few of those 4K drone videos filmed around these islands and it's a place of incredible beauty! Definitely will add to the bucket list!

What a wonderful travelogue. I'll look forward to more of these. It would be nice to include a quick chat with a local you met along the journey.

Stunning beauty of its own. The Aw39 is a very stable bird, the state of MD utilizes them for LE and medical missions.
