Love your videos Jeb. They're always objective, impartial and truly informative. As a person who flys quite frequently for work and play; I typically get at least business class for work related stuff and always go first class for my personal trips. That being said, I'm frequently disappointed by American's First Class service. From the inability to an upgraded lounge for the price of a first class ticket to the lack of attention to detail on-board the aircraft, i. e, cleaning. I feel AA is really missing the point of customer service. Other airlines do a much better job in these areas and I'm at a loss as to why AA seems to not care about that. I can assure you that were I to do these types of things in my business consistently; my employer would be having a serious talk with me. Just saying.

I just flew jfk-lax flagship first a few days ago, and while yes the headphones were collected 30 mins before landing, the FA came right back to me offering me a set of earbuds so I can keep watching. I returned yesterday lax-ewr on 767 Polaris, and overall flagship was a hell of a lot better than Polaris especially the fact that the AA FA's were very understanding of the fact that since I'm flying in a first class cabin I should have the privilege to breathe air freely without a face diaper, while UA FA's acted like they are the covid police of the sky's.

Having worked for American Airlines, I can tell you that First Class on any airline is a complete joke. Other than people seeing you sitting in First Class during boarding the price is completely insane. Let's face it, a crappy meal/ 2 inches of seat room and a few drinks DO NOT equate to an extra $1000 on a ticket. On a 3hr flight, you are lucky to even see the flight attendant in 1st Class more than 10 minutes. Fly coach/bring your own food on-board (that you can enjoy) and save that grand for a few nice restaurants at your destination.

AA First Class transcon seats are MUCH more comfortable than Mint. AA are a true lie flat. Mint are more of a downward slope. JetBlue def has better in flight entertainment. You rated 1 star on AA appropriately. Amenity kits are better on JetBlue. Considering as of late American has stepped up on menus, the added extra pillows, blanket, duvet (in my opinion Mint isn't as good as what it was. It's due for a cabin refurbishment) and the fact the seats adjust to many different positions, I prefer AA for transcon flights.

I'm a former AA Flight Attendant in 2000 and our Flagship Service at that time include a Caviar Service and Chateaubriand that was partially cooked in the galley. It was an amazing service and a lot of fun to do well for passengers. I miss those days and I think I would have traded todays seats for the leather and fleece covered recliners at the time. A little less privacy but they were so comfortable. Happy Flying and appreciate your reviews: )

5: 30 As far as I can tell they're a DIN-9 pin plug, used for the EmPower 15V DC charging system, and people could get adaptors to use the plugs for their laptops. But with the normal sockets provided these days like the universal plug in the shot before that one, I don't think anyone uses EmPower plugs anymore!
(I initially thought it was a PS/2 keyboard connector; it has the same shape, but PS/2 has less pins and it would be a bit strange getting your own whole keyboard out)

Philadelphians must feel left out. AA operates a hub there too, and it certainly is a major east coast city, yet they can't have these airplanes for their flights to LA and SF? AA has 16 321s in this configuration, you'd think that would be plenty for more than just the three routes Jeb mentioned here. I'm sure they operate their standard A321s on those JFK trans-con routes also; these 102-seaters can't be their only airplanes on the route.

Don't you just hate it when airlines make you walk through all the first class cabins, just to get to the cattle cabin at the back of the plane. I am sure they do this to humiliate you into buying first class next time. For me, it just makes me feel shitty for just wanting a seat on a plane, that doesn't cost me my entire monthly wage.

Not quite Emirates or Ethiad is it.
Hmm 1st class is very pricey so it should reflect in decor and quality of the whole experience throughout.
Presentation is paramount. a real glass not plastic. Silver serviced food. restaurant standards. This was business class at best not 1st class

It'd be hilarious to see the look on someone's face from, like, Burundi or Somalia watching someone talk about the basic breakfast before boarding a first class flight with terrible inflight entertainment. LOL I'm just playing. they probably don't even have computers or internet there lol!

This looks no better than Business on their wide body planes. Id rather fly Jet Blue too, although the footwell in their single suite is microscopic and at 61 its too uncomfortable to sleep with my feet pinned together in there. Anyone know of a REAL first class transcon?

Singapore and Emirates makes this look so budget. I'm ashamed and shocked. From plastic cups, food, etc etc. No wonder the richer fly private jet. They don't even set up your bed. No caviar or champagne. True rip off

It's a shame the entire plane has to walk through the first class cabin while the attendants are doing your PDB. Airbus really failed by not having a 2L boarding door for the A321. Makes the whole thing feel cheap and fake.

I paid $1000. 00 for a so-called business class flying from Florida to Phoenix, AZ. Other than a single seat and offered crackers and soda, which I refused, there was nothing else. Oh well! At least it was not CRAMPED.

I flew Flagship from LAX to JFK. The First Class service was slightly different than Business Class. First Class food is served 1 course at a time, while business the meal is served all at once.

In my area of so cali is under the flight path for 7 different airports. I get to see the heavies flying over big bear, and heavies landing into ontario Airport (California. I'm lucky.

Duh, it's a world wide pandemic. Why do you complain so much? It's a miracle that ANY lounge was open. At first, airlines lost a tremendous amount of money during the shutdown. Sheesh.

The audio/video jack you noted at 5: 31 could be an S-Video plug which is definitely very 90s - format was basically superseded by HDMI
